Thanks in advance Hello Friend. My CC was charged on the 20th of August, which indicates that I passed the file completeness check. I also have my sister-in-law in Canada who is a citizen and I included her Canadian passport copy, NOA from Revenue Agency, and her bank statement. I also included her kids' recent school reports from their school in Canada. They only need sufficient proof and the list above is not exhaustive. Anyways they will also conduct their own checks later

I called CIC for the second time today.The agent took my email id and asked me to check mail after 5min.Theyve send in a reply mail stating that "I am pleased to follow up on your requests".Dont even know what happened to our application?
I had mailed them too earlier..Hope some reply will come soon from CIC.

Has any one really got to know the status by calling CIC ?

Thanks Hassanwiz17, My uncle sent me his copy of passport, work payslip and monthly bill. He just ask me if I need everything on the list.
I will inform him to give me some docs

Hello Maina. Thanks for your reply. I just called the number for calling from outside Canada mentioned in the wordpress blog. The number +1 613 9 444 000 actually belongs to Foreign Affairs, Trade & Development Canada, which then provides an option via IVR to re-direct to CIC. The options that I dialed after dialing the above mentioned number were: 1+2+1+2+1 (There is an average wait time of about 12 minutes). I spoke to a staff called Natasha and on giving her my Surname, First Name, DOB and Place of Birth, she was able to find my application and gave me my 8 digit UCI and my total call duration was 19 minutes : 38 seconds.

I have tried to enter my UCI on ECAS but is could not find any information related to me even though my CC has been charged on 20 August 2013. Please provide your feedback.

well..i just tried calling the CIC no. popular here to get my UCI...on the second attempt..the guy agreed to look for it and after asking me my details he tried looking for it but said couldn't find and suggested me to e-mail them for verification....does thar mean my file has been rejected coz i am 24th may applicant under 2132 noc....any ideas?

hmm, I think hardly anything would have entered right now apart from general data that we have sent in documents and points that VO @ CIO calculated. VO are on strike and nothing productive is going on in London VO.
