Dear friends, I am following this forum quietly and find it very helpful. I was a pre 2008 applicant and planning to re-apply next year as the cap has already reached this year. I just want to ask one question and hoping that someone will surely answer my query.

Do I need to submit the date of birth certificates for all family members along with application? I am asking this, I had not been asked earlier when I applied in 2004.

I've just seen that IMM 0008 was up dated in July. My problem is that I sent application on Monday 7/1/2013. I validated IMM 0008 that weekend (6/29/2013) and prepared everything but I put date 7/1/2013 as the date on which I sent it to CIC. So, will they send me back application?

Forget about Pre Feb 2008 method of application. Please follow the new guidelines as per CIC.
Since, immigration process has changed a lot, you have to and you must follow new guidelines.

I couldn't make it to the 300 CAP of Computer Programmer (2174) this time . Now how can I or when will I get my documents back? Do I need to withdraw my application or ask/inform them? Or will they or have they already shipped the docs back?

Generally, you don't have to withdraw or ask/inform them.

Dear Victory, Assuming that you are from India, why you want to take chance?? Just go to some local authority and get DOB certificate made. That is easier than sending application with Metric certificate and biting your nails till you get PER/rejection.

Can I still get dob certificate from local authority even if my dob details where not registered in their database when I was born?

Yes you have to. I submitted for my common law partner also.

Singh Saab.. don't worry CIC must have mailed you your PER email.. check ur spam mailbox, trash etc.
or else send a mail to CIC Sydney, NS and they will confirm (after 20 days or later).

Don't worry... all you can do is WAIT !!
