Hello guys. How do I contact CIC from outside of Canada to know the status of my application? To be precise from Moscow, Russia. Suggestion please.

You can send an e-mail with request about status of your application, don't forget to mention in your e-mail details about your application, so they can track it (your name, date and place of birth, your NOC, date when application was delivered).
But don't expect a reply from them soon. For example, I sent my request more than a month ago, still no reply.

Another way is to call them to request your UCI number. Using this number you can check a status of your application online at their ECAS system https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do

All the phone numbers and e-mail addresses you can find in Q&A blog our wonderful admins created for newbies. Look for its link in my signature.

Now your application is in Sidney, Canada and if you recieve your PER only then they will transfer your file to Moscow. Wish you luck.
But be aware that Moscow VO is on strike, people are still awaitng for their visitors and students visas since May. It is worthless try to contact them now.

Let's make a questionnaire how everybody was dealing with their waiting anxiety. That will help other fellow forum members who are still eagerly awaiting for their good news.

We had following suggestions already
-go for long vacation
-go to business trip
-hibernate for a few weeks(months)
-grow some steel...nerves(for guys only)

I think if they pass your file, before that, they will request you to provide supporting documents that suggest that you can arrange for additional funding (funding gap), it happened with my friend in 2011 and he had been requested to provide additional fund details.
So, remain ready with additional funding details when required. I hope it will be somewhere in September that your file may open..

I really doubt that someone in CIO will ask an applicant for additional documents. This may be done by your local VO.

Canadafswp, the information you provided surprises me. None of June applicants got cc charged for v the two hot NOCs 1112 and 2147. Are you sure your application reached on "June 26" and your NOC is 1112? If that is true then it is gonna increase hopes of many guys here on the forum. None of the other NOCs reached last week of June.

Please Reconfirm all the details.
