when did u r appln reach CIC? Mine reached on 31st May..........and 30th May was the last cc charged for 2174...........

Dont know according to CIC it reached on 31st may and according to my idiot consultant it might have reached on 4th June.

But i am going by what CIC has told me....

yes...thats why I decided to submit the appln by myself instead of a consultant...

So whats your gut feeling....if our applns reached on 31st.........are there any chances still?

My application was recieved on 26th June and i used mode of payment as DD. As DD takes more time to get encashed and then another few days for CIC to issue PER, I want to know my status earlier than this. I am planning to write an email to CIC to know my status, as the response time of email is 20 days and keeping in view the current pace of working I expect my case to be opened by then. I have a few questions:

1. If i send them an email, what should i ask for? For status of my application or if they have recieved my application? Will they respond like your DD has been sent for encashment? or application has been returned for any reason?
2. If i call them and get my UCI, will i be able to see anything like my fee has been encashed or DD sent for payment? or application has been returned for any reason?

Bugged CIC again and in return they bugged with an email address to send an email

You both stand a very little chance to be in cap (just a guess as the last charge is also DD of the same time). Rely on luck now

You should have got something by now. Just check with your bank to get info if DD is cashed or not. Else, there was something wrong with app.

I know that i need to submit PCC of USA for my wife which will take 4 months.

Can i start getting the PCC right now? or do i need to wait till VO emails me?

for getting PCC from USA- do i need any email from VO to submit to FBI (USA)? or i can apply individually?

I've been trying to get a hold of CIC on this number-+1-613-944-4000 to retrieve my UCI no. However, I've been getting an automated error message saying that the toll free no. can't be accessed from my area. Can someone kindly guide me through me how can the "Immigration department responsible for providing UCI" NOT the "foreign affairs" can be reached out over the phone? People who received their UCI no. from India calling the mentioned no., how did you guys access? Thanks in advance for your help!

tomsware, regarding your question about usa pc... just go ahead and fill out their app form which you can find on the fbi website. along with that send fingerprints card, and you will receive your pc shortly, 4 weeks top. at least, that was my experience.

PCC in US is FBI Clearance, which can be obtained individually without the assistance from any embassy or agency. My husband and I had to get ours on our own, so I'm telling you from my own experience. This is the link which will guide you through the process. Just read it through and download the application package with all the required forms. http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/criminal-history-summary-checks/submitting-a-criminal-history-summary-request-to-the-fbi. I hope this helps Good luck! Also, if you are currently in BD, the total process might be a complete bummer, I've to say... it's so much easier to get while you are in the US. And yes, as strangersr said, it's going to take you 4-6 weeks at the most NOT 4 months

You can hold on another week to see for any PER sign. Else, your application might be in buffer, IF some of the previous guys application rejects or payment didn't go though etc. But, it's better you don't create hopes.
