I called CIC and got my UCI number. I checked with this number online but can not find my information, it shows:

"We were not able to identify you using the information you provided."

Anyone can advise what is happening? Is UCI a 8 digit number?

UCI number is unique. Even if you are having any other Canadian visa, you will be issued a UCI. May be you are having the once, hence, call centre guy gave you the same.

My CC isn't charged yet .. and no PER or Application returned. Let's see what happens. Applications like mine may be kept as a backup in case any slot opens up (say any application later on is rejected by VO). CIO has stopped charging CC since 05/30, and after seeing the 278 update there is a high chance that I am not in the cap.
But thanks anyway Annie... really need it :) I hope we all in some or the other way make it to Canada if we really wish to!
