CIC update is the number of complete applications counted and according to CIC Help Centre:

What is a complete application package?

Your application package is complete when you have:

-answered all of the questions on the application form, and
-submitted all the necessary documents along with your application.

So who knows? maybe u r counted in...

I hope and strongly feel so. Lets wait for the returned applications to reach us or an answer from CIC to our email queries.
Hoping for the best till then...

well "completed applicaiton" is same as number of complete application package received
that is the reason they are giving figures in website and with the rate of 10+ application
per day and as per our spreadsheet , just another week from June 1st and it will be over..

This is bitter analysis but truth is bitter ... :( ...No worries
Try for best and prepare for the worst .., and this is not an end .. so just be cool and cheerful
Good luck guys !!

Dear All,
I am an Indian applicant and have Credit Card related query.
I have provided the details of SBI Credit Card to CIC. I have also talked to the Customer Care of SBI Credit Card and told them about the international transaction. The customer care executive told me that as long as the trasnaction is within limit, there should not be any issue in the international trasnaction. However, I have seen cases where the attempt by CIC to charge the card was declined by Banks, even after prior communication.
Is there anything else that I should do - any specific step particularly related to SBI Credit Card.

thanks

sent you PM

Dear Admins,

Please include me in the spreadsheet

NOC: 2174
Visa Office: New Delhi
IELTS Bands: 8.0
Self Calculated Points: 72
Spouse IELTS included: YES
Relatives in Canada: No
Job Offer: No
Degree: BE
ECA Equivalence: Degree
Job Experience: 4
PCC Sent: No
Application Sent.....: 24 May
Application Received: 30 May
Fee Method...........: CC
Destination in Canada: Toronto, Ontario
Fee Charged:Yes
Date Charged : 12th Aug 2013

A few inputs I would like to make, i have gone through an experience I was not expecting. I am sure it will help someone in future. CIC tried to charge my CC on saturday around 9:30 AM their time, and i got a message that a transaction worth CAD 1100 has been declined because of security reasons. At the first glance I was happy to the figure of CAD 1100 in the message, but my happiness went out of the window with a huge thud within nano seconds. I immediately called up my bank so that they can release the payment to CIC. But they said that they cannot process it until the merchant (CIC ) tries again. On the top of it they said that they tried twice within an interval of 2 minutes and both times it was declined.

I escalated the issue within the call center and asked the senior manager to release my payment there and then. They simply said that it was not possible through system. The merchant to try again and this time it will go through. I had no option but to wait. The CIC call center was not working on saturday so could not contact them.

The only hope i had was they try again, which they did the next working day, i.e. today (Monday) around 9:00 AM Nova Scotia time. Finally I breathed a sigh of relief. I cannot explain the whole experience was so unnerving.

Learning :

I had called up the bank earlier a few weeks back and clearly told them that there will be a transaction worth CAD 1100 (~65000 INR) which is almost half of my credit limit. The call center person told me as long as the transaction is within my limit it will go through without any problem. Seems like the guys sitting at the call center say whatever they feel like and have incomplete information.

I would like to say that all those people who are expecting to get their CC charged in the coming days proactively call their banks and explicitly tell them that you are expecting a high value forex transaction on your card, so that it does not get declined for security reasons.

Thank you for sharing...!!
Congratulations.... Must have been a huge relief!! :)

@islandbabe thanks for your prompt reply.....I know we can just pray
@zolter...... I know cap is not issue...again sailing in BC confusion after Kumars story :-[
@amit80203 thanks bro....... Please keep remember me in your prayers....... N I hope no BC issue comes up....

Guys,

I gave them the call today and they just simply said that they don't have access to the applications and the visa offices.
And hence not able to get any answer...
Again I am left with no answer :(

Please help...

Hi,

Please don't worry as you can't loose anything until you got it. I would suggest you to call CIO and ask about ur client ID, then with client ID, ur surname, date of birth and country name you can check in ECAS system about ur status.

Please find the calling details below:

To know the status of your application by calling cic from outside canada
dial - 0016139444000
select 1 for English
then 1 for foreign affair
2 for immigration
call is being transferred to cic
then 1 for English
2 for status
1 for PR
8 digit client id number will be asked
listen the request 3 times without entering client id number
then the call is automatically transferred to an agent
agent will ask information about last name, first name, date of birth, application received date, email id etc
then agent will check in the system and shall give feedback

Hope this is helpful :D
