Dear Admins,

Please include me in the spreadsheet

NOC: 2174
Visa Office: New Delhi
IELTS Bands: 8.0
Self Calculated Points: 72
Spouse IELTS included: YES
Relatives in Canada: No
Job Offer: No
Degree: BE
ECA Equivalence: Degree
Job Experience: 4
PCC Sent: No
Application Sent.....: 24 May
Application Received: 30 May
Fee Method...........: CC
Destination in Canada: Toronto, Ontario
Fee Charged:Yes
Date Charged : 12th Aug 2013

A few inputs I would like to make, i have gone through an experience I was not expecting. I am sure it will help someone in future. CIC tried to charge my CC on saturday around 9:30 AM their time, and i got a message that a transaction worth CAD 1100 has been declined because of security reasons. At the first glance I was happy to the figure of CAD 1100 in the message, but my happiness went out of the window with a huge thud within nano seconds. I immediately called up my bank so that they can release the payment to CIC. But they said that they cannot process it until the merchant (CIC ) tries again. On the top of it they said that they tried twice within an interval of 2 minutes and both times it was declined.

I escalated the issue within the call center and asked the senior manager to release my payment there and then. They simply said that it was not possible through system. The merchant to try again and this time it will go through. I had no option but to wait. The CIC call center was not working on saturday so could not contact them.

The only hope i had was they try again, which they did the next working day, i.e. today (Monday) around 9:00 AM Nova Scotia time. Finally I breathed a sigh of relief. I cannot explain the whole experience was so unnerving.

Learning :

I had called up the bank earlier a few weeks back and clearly told them that there will be a transaction worth CAD 1100 (~65000 INR) which is almost half of my credit limit. The call center person told me as long as the transaction is within my limit it will go through without any problem. Seems like the guys sitting at the call center say whatever they feel like and have incomplete information.

I would like to say that all those people who are expecting to get their CC charged in the coming days proactively call their banks and explicitly tell them that you are expecting a high value forex transaction on your card, so that it does not get declined for security reasons.

First, congratulations !

I had similar experience when I was trying to pay WES, tried 3 times and all 3 times payment was declined. When I looked online at my CC it said pending. I called the bank and they said they cannot release the payment, and that WES has to try again ... In the end I paid with different credit card that had less security!

Hello,

My credit card statement shows pending status from CITIZENSHIP IMM FSW - $1,070.77 USD + foreign fee of $4.52 USD. So, in few hours/days it should show processed.

Those waiting for CC being charged, look up your CC accounts. My application reached to CIC on 5/28/13. NOC - 2131.

Admins. please update the spreadsheet. Thanks.

Good luck to all.

Congrats....I am still waiting....2131....28th May.

My Heart is pretty much somewhat broken at this stage. The gates are closing and quite a few good people may not be able to get in (July Applicants and some June, for the hot Nocs). Let us look at other options that are still open and hope that more CC's get charged over the next few days for these very hot Nocs. CIC 500 looks like a good number to go for...........just saying.
