Hi Everyone,

What date do you think the Canadian embassy is processing today?

Now that some of us here have their files forwarded to local visa office, we are looking into next steps.

So, I am reading operating procedure for FSW and I found this on page 27 and 28:

12. Procedure

Note: Officers may choose to exercise their authority for substituted evaluation in respect of the
points assessment and the final selection decision. For more information, refer to section
12.2.

12.2. Substituted evaluation

R76(3) makes possible the substitution of an officer's evaluation for the requirements set forth in
R76(1)(a) in respect of an application for permanent residence in the Federal Skilled Worker
Class.

If the requirements set forth in R76(1)(a), whether or not they are met and the skilled worker has
been awarded the minimum number of points referred to in R76(2), are not sufficient indicators of
whether the foreign national will become economically established in Canada, an officer may
substitute for the criteria set out in R76(1)(a) their evaluation of the likelihood of the ability for the
skilled worker to become economically established in Canada.

Pursuant to 76(4), substituted evaluation requires the concurrence of a second designated officer.

Substituted evaluation is to be considered on a case-by-case basis. The scope of what an officer
may consider as relevant cannot be limited by a prescribed set of factors in support of exercising
their authority for substituted evaluation.

What does this mean?

On page 14 it says:

Note: The CIO will only make negative selection decisions. Only the responsible processing
office will make positive selection decisions, taking into account, but not limited to, the initial
assessment against selection criteria made by the CIO. In making a negative selection
decision, officers should clearly state the reasons for their decision in GCMS.

So the processing starts from the beginning in local visa office after we get PER from CIC, right?

I have applied for 1112 and my docs arrived on the 28th June.... any idea the chances that it will be within the cap? What is the current estimation is like

Hi guys, I only sent my master degree to CIC because the guide on cic website said only the highest credential needed to be assessed. However, some ppl in this forum suggested sending both bachelor and master to cic. Can I send my bachelor degree to cic and ask them to attach this to my original application? will this work? My original application arrived at cic on 15th july
