My application reached cic on 23rd.. mode of payment is DD..
Hope we will get to hear something this week. .

Dear bluemav, here is the deal with agency... you will get NO value add in terms of help with your application process details as the guys who ultimately handle your case know probably less than you if you are already active on this forum. This forum collectively knows 100 times more than any agent out there. period.

But, if you want the following, go for agency and pay the fees:
1. Some third person to go over the application in terms of any field left out
2. Someone else getting all your documents notarized and despatched
3. Some "central" postal address for mail communication from CIC if you are on the move in coming months and do not have a permanent address or reliable relatives/friends.

hey guys... I havnt submitted my birth certificate with my application. I have sent copies of my passport, my degree marks sheets, 10+2 (12th) class certificate where my date of birth is mentioned. I am from India and now on skilled work visa in usa. is thr sonebody in similar siituation who got PER without birth certificate with application. i havenot sent my 10th class certificate/ marksheet.

any clue if I wil be ok? or do I have to send any affidavit/10th class markssheet etc. plz advice. Thanks.

sandy1985 and I have submitted 10th certificate as birth proof and we both have received PER. So don't worry, u will be fi9 and just wait for ur CC charge.

Yes.. it is a problem and you will need to try and download the file locally (even that fails sometimes). Preferable format will be ODS. It can be edited locally in Microsoft Word 2007/2013 effortlessly.
