FSW 2013 stats

Hey everyone,

Thought you may find this useful: http://goo.gl/fiqrwh

This spreadsheet uses the data from the original spreadsheet to calculate some stats. The data is updated automatically, as far as I know - every hour, so the stats will always be up to date and in line with the data from the original spreadsheet.

This spreadsheet also includes a chart which shows the dependence between the received date and the number of work days until fee.
The number of work days is calculated taking into account a couple of Canadian statutory holidays.

Also, there is a forecast of the fee encashment date for each entry if the fee has not been encashed yet. This forecast is pessimistic and is based on the maximum number of work days it took the CIO to charge the fee so far. Please remember that this is only a forecast and don't get upset if your forecast date is "red" and you still haven't got any news from CIO - your PER may be on its way.

Below is a sample of the chart. We can see clearly that currently it takes CIO 40 to 50 work days to charge the fee. For the early applicants this number has been considerably lower, but it increased later, along with the flow of applications.

For now, the absolute maximum is 51 full work days. On the CIC website it is stated that an applicant should allow 8 to 10 weeks (which amounts to 40 to 50 work days) prior to contacting the CIC regarding the status of the application. From this two facts we could assume that CIO's internal deadline for the first stage (completeness check & fee) is about 50 work days.

Happy waiting!

I doubt it strongly this analysis is close to being true. It cannot be based on a daily basis. Maybe weekly or something else.

You are right bro they are going with a week i guess. cause they are updating every week accepted applications you can get the information from the spreadsheet very easily.

Cheers!!!!!!!!

I doubt that this is a reliable guide. It doesn't take into account that there were far few applications in July/currently than May or June so if CIC continue to review applications at the same pace, the wait for later applicants will be shorter. Also, once the cap is reached for the popular nocs, the remaining occupations should be reviewed faster still.

noc: 2132
app received: 24/06/2013

Hello Abhi,
As per the current CIC update & looking at the number of people for NOC2132 in the forum (for whom CC/DD has been charged already), you are very much in the run for PER, provided you have your documentation complete in all respects.

I pray the entire spreadsheet is painted green in the weeks ahead. CIC please take money and send PERs. Amen

amen jai ho ...keep smiling n hope for the best :) :)

No news for any applicants of 1112 from the application receiving date of 23rd, May, including me. I guess the 1112 might be capped on 22nd already, as seeing some records of CC charge on 24th already for other NOCs.

Want to give a call to CIC to confirm this, could anyone give their contact no.? can't not find it on their website.

FSW 2011 started at July 1st and first update was on July 23th.
This year, the first update was around June 20th, after almost 7 weeks after the race has started. We must not forget that the eligibility conditions are hardly to achieve this year. Anyway, the next cap update will provide valuable informations about the hottest NOCs.

nobody can make wild guess ..only CIC people can explain this whether this updates r daily or ...weekly
also we cant compare previous years as CIC cap has decreased and applicants are increasing each year

its Non Statutory Holiday , so there may be some news
