wow your debit card worked ???!!!

Ofcourse debit card works. Another applicant here also reported a charge on a debit card. Do not be misled by the name if its not mentioned in guideline. Its can be used in the same way as credit card. Now I am no finance guy but according to my knowledge the primary difference being that when using debit card for payments one is using one's own money unlike the credit card whereby the amount used is a "loan". So it is perhaps more reliable because as long your bank balance has a balance exceeding you transaction its all good (limit = account limit) , no danger of credit limit being exceeded as in CC.

Other advantages include: no interest on transactions, no effect on credit history, no bills etc.

P.S: I also used a Visa Debit card.

still no charges on my side. Chances of me getting charge today is getting slim since it is almost 5pm in nova scotia (unless they will work extra hours today). Looking forward for good news tomorrow..... come on CIO show us some movement!!!!!

I concur. This patience business is getting rather trying!
Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow.

Wow. A big percentage drop from last update from CIC for NOC 2174. 75% to 44%.
I hope this get reversed pretty soon.
Hypothetically if our forum members constitute atleast 35% of the 300 applicant for 2174. We will have 105 applicant accepted from this forum which will leave another (105-53) 52 members to be selected.

Based on current update I still have 30 more forumites so looks like I should make it. :D

Hi

Without speculating too much regarding CIC's internal working and their pace, I would prefer to rely on mathematics to make myself comfortable.

a) As per current numbers shared by CIC for NOC 2174 - Out of 51 accepted applications 38 were from this forum ;D A lion's share of 75%.
b) As per the spreadsheet 40 more applicants for NOC 2174 are ahead of me (My App Received 5th June 2013)
c) So now assuming all of this 40 application are selected and considering that our forum members will have at-least 50% (being practical) share till CIC reaches my application, numbers could look like this if CIC publishes number after processing my application :)

Total Forum application accepted: 78 (38+40)
Total CIC application accepted : 156 (50 % from Forum and 50 % rest )
Rest of applications : 78

Now applying the same logic there are approx 138 applicants from our forum and considering that forum applications will atleast constitute 45% of total CIC application accepted we will be well within 300 (138/0.45) CAP

So guyz just take a chill pill and hope for the best.

Please what is your advice and how do I resend a new fee payment form.

Thanks

Guys

Dont be anxious. I was in the same boat a couple of days ago.
I am pretty sure like 100% sure you folks are in ....

Its just that the ppl at Nova Scotia have a lot to deal with so they are taking some time but looking at the CAP status , my gut feeling is everyone until June 10th should be fine...

Hi!
I have only 8 posts on this wonderful forum, so read them all to understand my story.
my advice 2 U is to send them new SIGNED form accompanying by short cover letter, explaining the situation.
U have nothing to loose. as you can understand- they are surprisingly pretty flexible. so cross the fingers and may the force be with you ;-)

Hi All,

Quick question. May 27th Applicant. One of my experience letter does not include the job duties as required. I have attached job offer letter with the employer letter on the letterhead with duration and job title. The rest of my experience letters comply with the overall requirement. Knowing that this experience is less than one year so far and doesnt count towards the NOC eligibility as such.

Should I send the revised experience letter with job duties now and hope my application isnt opened till next week? Or should I send an intimation email?

Is there anyone with such experience letter but got a PER?

Thanks.

I used a Visa debit card for my few and as you all know have been charged too. With debit cards what you spend is what you have on the card. All other features remain same. But there are charges too. My bank charges me interest when I use my debit card for POS transactions like that of few or arm terminal but they won't charge you when you spend online.

Thanks for replying. Is your response based on your experience, or somebody else's?

I think it is clearly mentioned somewhere that you need to have exp for particular NOC for a particular time period in last 10 years . If you have that minimum , you need not worry about additional exp letters etc.

Make sense?

People...
All those who applied under 2174, the official CAP reached is 120. Just wanted to know when was this updated? Now comparing it with entries on our spreadsheet, the 2174's have been charged until app date 23rd May. So I guess there is still chance for the folks who applied in May end and early June...(provided the appln is complete)....

Hope for the best !

No worries bro u will get ur chances.. pray to Almighty and be patient

This is not a desi forum where we can chit chat and chirp about any damn thing. I think this forum is used by all nationality people. Lets our personal opinions stick to ourselves and not pollute this forum.
