None in CIC knows what ur parents DOB is,
Once you your PER and then an AOR from your Local visa office, you can make as much amendments as you like.
why bother now.

Wiith Luck and prayers, hopefully he should now get the PPR and Visa soon.
Already crossed the Interview and Medical stage PCC and RRPF encashment.
So dont bother with contract and pay slips, visa and other stuffs,
Just apply with the Reference Letter.

Interesting; being a 17th May dd applicant, called the given number with anxiety getting the better of me. A lovely 30 minute wait time was followed by 'you need to email the concerned office for any status update.' The wait continues - don't think I can take it much longer. Anyone else in a similar boat?

Congrats to you! I don't know which is harder, waiting for fee encashment or waiting for PER. For me it's like their is no dull moment at CIC

I would also say it's always exciting for the whole waiting game. I guess good news is coming to you soon as well.
Now I cannot sleep...

Folks,

I am a 27th may applicant 2147 noc. I sent cic a cover letter and fresh dd which was delivered on 24th July(Day when CIC was working on 21/22 May Applications), as my old dd expires soon. I mentioned the following details on the cover letter along with reason for sending a new DD.

1. date and time original application was delivered at cic.
2. name of person who signed and received the package at cic
3. My full name
4. passport number
5. date of birth
6. full address
7. noc code
8. full address
9. phone number
10. email address

place of birth not mentioned!

1. Is this information good enough for cic to locate my original application package?
2. Would CIC have had my records in their system by 24th July for them to find me easily?
3. If CIC adds my new dd, will it push me back in the queue to date of receiving my new dd?

In order to keep the mood light (and to show that I'm still around), the amount of time being taken to neither return my application nor to process it, I think they'll directly stamp the visa on my passport (not that they have my passport, just a thought that I had to keep me preoccupied and happy)

It'll be a lol moment if I check my PO Box tomorrow and there's rude surprise waiting for me in the morning ("Dear applicant, we were waiting for you to crack that silly joke on the forum. Now here's your application back")

Folks,

I have one question regarding some text written in OP06c bulletin on pg 10:

"Note: Applications are date stamped upon receipt at the CIO and then checked for completeness in order by date of receipt. The “application received” date at the CIO is the lock-in date. Processing offices should therefore maintain the application received date from the time of the applicant’s initial submission to the CIO, and process the application to conclusion."

Does the underlined script above means that CIO will add any info/form/doc sent later by the applicant to original application and treat the whole in former lock-in date stack?

Seniors input would be appreciated.

for payments i used credit card that transferred the required amount to the lawyers account who then made the required payments using the law firms credit card.that is the reason i donot know what day their firms cc was cashed....

well in that case you can only hear from your Lawyer about CC charge provided they are supportive enough, which I doubt they would be. Most likely they will share with you once they get Your PER email from CIC. Seeing the spreadsheet the PER email would reach you after 3 to 10 days of CC charge and will also mention the date if payment. Keep up hopes, I also suffered the similar situation but at the end the wait brought me good news. Wish you best.

Guys if you are concerned about the delays and the strike - perhaps you may want to give momentum to our voice. I personally think that so far Canadian media has not really touched the plight of many of us who might be in a limbo cuz of this strike. So please - let's join on one platform to inform them how badly it is impacting us. We are based in Toronto/Ottawa and are willing to stage protests infront of CIC office if we gather enough support.
