According to My consultant, CIC considers the joint account but distribute the funds evenly between both the holders. So only half of the funds will be counted under your name.

Aplication returned, as per lawyer,

CIC need a letter from my employer for my duties - i had provided letter self signed letter as my HR department was not issuing letter with all job duties
Also, they need some form IMM 5562 completed.

Any suggestion - should i fight with HR and get the letter or it is too late now?

Sad news indeed.
i know someone who applied in 2011, he also provided self signed letter in plain A4 size covering his job duties for his current employer but his application went through and he received PER. (He also provided copy of his Employment contract)

Here's what you can do... You cannot force your HR to issue job duties as they might have their specific reasons, in my case confidentiality of the company.. You can ask and prepare these:

- Letter from your company (with letterhead) testifying that they do not provide job duties stating their reasons.
- Letter of testimony SIGNED by your previous manager. These contains your job roles and descriptions. Please reword your company roles since you might have some legal problems with your company. Do not self signed this document.
- Letter of explanation from you that your company does not give out job duties thus, you are providing additional documents as a proof of your employment such as the letter of testimony above, job employment letter, calling card of your manager, copy of job contract (since this will give them idea on your job role) etc....

It should arrive 2nd or 3rd August due to a mistake from DHL. My parcel was mistakenly sent to Cambridge UK and should be on return journey to Canada maybe tomorrow morning. I changed a few things in this new one and was thinking I should call it back to avoid conflicting answers like settlement fund, liability and asset all that changed. Also changed is my dads date of birth.

If the settlement fund, liabilities and assets figures have been updated according to your latest situation then that wont be a problem but the change in your father's DOB could be an issue. So keeping this possibility into consideration, perhaps it is advisable to call for return of package because if all else was same it would have been ok if a duplicate package reached.

Thankfully your application is through despite missing a few papers so in my opinion get the second package back and just wait for PER and subsequent file transfer to VO. Then you can communicate the change in DOB.

No I am not very sure. Was only guessing because CIC is charging May 22nd now and my additional document reached May 22nd. Please don't take what I have said for a certainty.

I understand you need to crack jokes to keep the pressure off. However this thread is primarily to help everyone find relevant information to help them in their process of applying and getting the all important PR. You are not the only one who writes irrelevant content so please don't feel I am writing this to you alone. Just that your last comment was completely irrelevant and detrimental to the needs of others.

Every time we write crap on this thread it takes space. All the excess space makes it that much harder for friends and fellow applicants to get proper advice and information. 1000 pages is nothing to be proud of esp when 70% of it is useless and irrelevant crap. There are other avenues to take out pent up steam and frustration. Please use them. Maybe even use personal messages for the same too.

Wish everyone the very best in their efforts. Again I am not so blessed to use the best language possible. So please go to the meaning of what I am trying to convey and I am sorry for every word or sentence that I could have phrased better.
