Hello house,
I am new to this forum and in the process of gathering my documents for NOC 3142. What are my chances of being within the CAP by middle of August?
send the forms ASAP..3142 is not hot NOC and you have pretty good chances. As per CIC website they have only received 1 application and in our forum we have only 12 members from this NOC.

So don't worry and send your completed/double checked in August.

Dear Friend Raj,

I can understand your feelings at this moment. You have just encountered a significant disappointment of your life and people here are asking questions to satisfy their own curiosities. But please be cool and proceed carefully as you still have a chance. Even if the cap is filled, it's not the end of the road. You have a Canadian education and you must have lot of opportunities.

Remember one thing, which I firmly believe. THE LIFE WILL TAKE YOU THERE, WHERE YOU ARE DESTINED TO GO. Some people will consider this a pessimistic attitude and may argue that one's efforts make one's destiny. But this belief nowhere implicates that do not make any efforts. That's why, I have applied this year but without any results expectations and believe me, I am OK with this and not going thru sleepless nights.

I wish all the best to you and hope that you succeed in your plans.

Thanks !

Since at intial checks, they don't assign UCI no. there is no meaning of CAP status.
UCI is assigned at final stage only when payment and all things go through and ultimately contributing to cap status (with some exceptions at descrition of CIC).
As of 16th May, NOC 2174 might not have got filled that's why they r still doing their intial checking at files that reached in June.
Had the CAP been filled then definitely there is no point of doing intial checking in that NOC.
Hope I am clear to you this time.
Yes, I understand your point.
But, all departments (may be like...initial verification, points validation, duties etc.,) at CIC should be working together and in sync that initial verification team doesn't over step and check all applications unnecessarily having known that the applications already checked by them would fill the cap for an NOC. If they already know that they have verified around 350 apps for intial review, why would they still continue to do and rather they would wait for updates on the 350 that are already reviewed. After all, they are professionals and have been working all these years and they should have set up a process not to unnecessarily do things.
Hope its clear to you now.

I agree with you kondaveeti41

The verification team should be kept updated on the status of caps and as soon as 300 is reached on a NOC, they will be instructed to stop verifying new applications for that NOC.

I don't agree with your point that I have highlighted. No one knows in advance which file will make it to the NOC. No one knows whose credit card may fail while charging. No one knows in advance that out of 350 files, 300 will definitely make it. It might be that only 250 go through. They can't stop work inbetween and start again.
Oh, NOC is not reached, lets start again and do the intial checks.
Only when cap is filled, they will stop working in that NOC and start sending files back.

Now days I am hearing lot of people complaining about the original spreadsheet is not available.HTML version have some issues and for downloadable version downloading again and again is not feasible for ,many users.

I do understand the point of admins as I am an IT guy (don't go with my NOC in our spreadsheet as that is for my wife). It's really difficult to update the spreadsheet in shared drive when more people are accessing it.Both user experience and admin work get affected :-X :-X.

Solution for the problem: Can we have more admins located in different time zones (like US,EMEA,APAC etc)? This will reduce the work of admins and less updation at any particular time zone. 8) 8) ;D

I am pretty sure there are lot of people who are willing to contribute (If you want I can also) to the spreadsheet. ;D ;D

Guys do anyone agrees to this??

In my personal view people are much more comfortable with the original spreadsheet style,So we should provide in that way.

Any way IT guys have lot more solution to this issue the above can be one :D :D :D :D :D

Think of a project and let's say the customer requirement is original spreadsheet..We don't have choice (IT guys) apart from fullfilling the customer request :p :p :p :p :p

Above was just a suggestion don't grill me on that :)

Dear Amit,

But they can inform the verification team that 300 PERs have been issued, so let us not verify new applications for a particular NOC.

Thanks

Hi Loofy, do you get notification from bank on July 11th when your CC was charged? Or do you mean you don't realize it was charged until you got PER?
I got an SMS the day the cc was charged.

That's what I am saying, when CAP is reached they won't do intial checking. But if CAP is not reached, they will continue with their work.

I agree, admins should look at this suggestion with an open mind. I had already suggested increasing the number of admins.

Yes, increasing admins would definitely help.
My suggestion is to break down tracker sheet into two parts.
Tracker Sheet-1 can contain NOC 0211,1112,2131,2132 & 2134 (somewhere around 250 entries)
Tracker Sheet-2 can contain rest of d NOC.
This way users will access tracker sheet specific to his/her NOC and will ditribute the load into two parts.
I know it will increase burden of updating two sheets but I guess this is the only way right now when users are demanding access to original trakcer sheet.
What do u think guys? Let us bring back original tracker sheet. :p :p

My Suggestion.. keep only first sheet(tab) having entries and the relevant columns for viewing..

and the detailed sheet with graphs.. returned applicants, etc etc to be kept available for downloading..

the current version doesn't even opens up on my machine :(.. it keeps on processing and i have to end the process finally..

Only when cap is filled, they will stop working in that NOC and start sending files back.
finally i hear someone speaking sense.. they cant stop in between and start all over again.. what happens to the DD ( 3 months validity ). This is why i guess they r updating CAP fortnightly and not weekly.. we have seen many fail to make through in the initial update.. Cheers Amit for speaking my words...but i am sure there would be few again back to square one and asking the same thing.. :)
