I think most of the people will agree with me:-

1) Discussing floods if it may result in delay of processing is relevant.

2) Any question whether out of emotional worries or not of our fellow members shall be discussed and the people who have experienced that earlier should provide solutions.

3) Questions related to CC/DD/BC etc. are all those that could affect their processing time or even get their file refused and if we are not discussing anything here but just posting our file updates, congratulating others and thanking them in return, then what is the purpose of this topic.

4) Clarifying doubts related to the file, file processing speed, CIC updates, analyzing updates and the spreadsheet, if this is not relevant then what else can be discussed, please suggest.

We are discussing timelines, it may not be fair to discuss recent floods over here. I agree some may have gone overboard in "as of" mystery, but lets allow them to pour their emotional stuff/worries over here 8) why don't you just sit back and relax for a while :D

What I feel is the latest CAP update is before 13th may as applicant of 13th may of our spreadsheet got cc charged in 3215 NOC which update shows as 0

I agree with you. I think it's probably the update upto May 10th.

Please allow access to the non html version of spreadsheet, as well. It is quite useful to have sorting capabilities. E.g. sort by CC cashed, PER received, etc.

Thanks!
......

yes ikl326.....non html spredsheet is more useful.....plz requesting all admin to give a permission to see dat one too....

i second that.
That's the real essence of this thread which make this thread so lively and attractive.

In the previous CIC update, there was one completed application for NOC 2146 - Aerospace Engineer. This time its 0.

Does it mean that it got knocked-off in between stage 1 (completeness check) and stage 2 (PER)? Or was ir a typo in first place?

Yeah, I saw someone mention that, it's certainly a bit odd.

My guess is it's a typo, but if I were the Aerospace Engineer in question I would be a bit worried :o

(well, more worried than already am. Come on darkman1987 tell us you've had your CC charged and help us believe 2174 is still moving!)

At first civeng herself initiated an off the topic discussion regarding the meaning of 'as of' which saw forum members fighting among each other.
And ironically just after that she is requesting forum members to refrain from such off the topic discussions. :P

well I am not English native but the translation of "as of" is "a compter du " in French and it means literally "from"

This is important information and they took lots of time tu update, I dont think it should be typo atleast. . . . .

Fair comment, one would like to think they endeavour to get it right!
Then there will be circumstances that can make the cap work backwards? (user cancels application, or application fails some subsequent check, etc)

It would be interesting to see if NOC app counts swing in other direction in subsequent updates.

Dear friends,

I wanted to know that for applicants whose mode of payment is DD, would there be two or just one email to be received from CIC, one for confirming that the DD has been encashed and the other for the PER? Kindly clarify....I can see from the spead sheet that there are DD mode applicants who state that DD has been encashed but no PER has yet been issued for them.

Only PER, no email from CIC for DD encashment I believe (probably a conversation with your bank)

Hi luciferz888,

As per my research, CIC has changed its strategy. Its no more first come first serve basis. Though its not declared in public, they are actually looking for the best among the applications. That is why there is a huge delay in updating the applications received. If you happen to be the best applicant you might be lucky (Ex: What is the use of an immigrant who has all the points on table but would contribute to the economy only for few years.).

Hope for the best!

HI AAREE,

Will surely treat you if your research turns out to be true. Yes, i always used to wonder how does it work for them, The first 1000 or the first 500 applications (2010 and 2011). I bet many of them didnt even qualify for the stated NOC. Coz one of my friend was a system administrator and he applied for NOC 1122 and he got a rejected update. Likewise there were many. I really believe that, this time they should make this wise move. as it is they made a bold move in cancelling all the unprocessed applications submitted bet. 2008and 2010. Anyway fingers crossed. Thanks

One is known for sure with new update...

The pace of CIC processing applications is less than 10 applications per day...
So, everybody, happy waiting, enjoy it! :D
