Corrections for 2174 estimates:-

The new update shows 51 complete files. If we assume that there will be 40 odd files in process and not completed yet. The number approx. comes out to be 90.

Out of which our forum have about 54 people i.e. 60 % of total 2174 applications.

Considering that they might have started working on 13th June (first update was on 20th June), there are 24 working days.

Files per day 90 / 24 = 3.75

At this speed, it will take 300 / 3.75 about 80 days from the date of start i.e. 6th May 2013. The cap should reach by applications submitted till 25th July 2013

Moreover, it seems due to IELTS result wait there is a fall in the number of submitted applications in May 4th week to Jun 2nd week. So, it may extend a bit too.

My estimates for category 2174, Please give your comments.

There are 5000 total applications they intend to process in 12 months. If they will be targetting to finish the first phase i.e. PER in first 6 months then they need to complete approx. 38 applications daily (considering 22 working days per month)

Even if they are having 28% of them for 2174 category (as per our spreadsheet 114/406) then they will be doing 11 applications daily and the cap will reach in 28 days i.e. by 10th June 2013.

However, as expressed by other members earlier also, the reason for the higher percentage of 2174 representation on this forum is might be due to their profession (as they are in front computer all day).

So, I think it may cover also upto the mid of and even till the end of June applications.

God, please make them reach till the end !!!

Totally Outdated...Sigh.....so we wait again. I so wish they would put the dates to exactly tell us the count to a specific date.

@ All - Good to see a CAP update happening in the wee hours when I was slept. Of course, it is not as of May 4th and that I don't see CIC placing any real date against it. I know the question of date will arise after every update and then many will say...we wait till next update to get a clear picture.
So there emerges a principle to CAP update as I have said earlier long back.
The figures on next CIC update are as on the previous update DATE. So people looking for 'as on date' answers can safely assume 16-July figures were actually satisfyingly completed on 24-Jun (or around that time) and the apps handled based on receiving date is until between 13th-15th May; but they only posted now and did a fair formality. There's a delay between 'completing a count' and then actually 'posting' it on web.

This principle shall answer many queries in the past 10 pages and many to come during every next update. It shall keep you reasonably convinced and out of worries.

[p.s. I have derived this principle from my own experience and weekly activity at job and here's how it is!
I'm getting audit reports for the entire past week (i.e., Week1 Monday - Saturday) today which is Monday (i.e., Week2 Monday) and then I publish my consolidated reports after checking them on next Monday (i.e., Week 3 Monday). So my Week3 Monday Publish is carrying data only up to Week1 Mon-Sat. Week2 was consumed by myself for preparing my consolidated report. Similarly, Week2 Mon-Sat data will be published on Week4 Monday. And this keeps on going week-by-week.
Similar process is happening at CIC.]

First update by CIC - June 20th - Total applications - 28
Second update by CIC - June 24th - Total applications - 65

Number of working days between the updates - 2
Number of applications complete between the updates - 37
Number of applications/day = 18.5

Number of working days from 24th June - 16

Total apps done = 16 * 18.5 = 296 (total would be 296 + 65 = 361)

Total apps for NOC 2174 = 16 * 4 = 64 (Total would be 64 + 15 = 79)

Now, calculate for your own NOC

Looking at the CIC updates, and there is strong feeling that these updates do not reflect upto May 16th applications. They might be till May 10th/13th.

Given that, my PURE MATH formula holds good with the calculations.

When should I submit the PCCs? I did not submit them with the application.

I am confused about some fields in the forms. As many of you are already done with your application, can you please guide me for these fields? I have listed down the fields and doubts below. Please see if you have any clues about them

1. Generic Application Form

a. National Identity Docuemtn: "Document number of National Identity Docuemnt" -- Which documents can be used here? I am applying from India and so think either of passport, driving license or Aadhar can be used here. Please suggest which one should be used?
b. Question 3: "How many family members, including you are in this application?" -- I understand that parents are not counted as dependents. So I am mentioning 1 here (as I am not married). Is that right?
c. Question 4: "Immigration office requested for processing the application?" -- I am applying from India, so it will be NEW DELHI, India right?

2. Background Declaration form
a. Question 2 -- "Write your name in native language" -- Should I print form and then write name using pen? Gujarati fonts are not available in the PDF
b. Question 7 -- "Education details" -- I studided from Standard 1st to 12th, then did B.Tech and finally MBA. So number of years for education for Primary: 7, Secondary: 5, University: 4 and Post Secondary Schools:2. I am confused about the last "Post Secondar School". Is 2 years right there?

3. Economic classes form:
a. Question 11(b): I am unable to enter '0' in the liabilities field. I am neither able to write N/A. Should I leave the field blank?


-- What document can be submitted as national ID?
-- If I am not using representative, is it necessary to submit 'Use of Representative' form?

Wait for you PER, wait for the file to be transferred to your local VISA office. Communicate with local VISA office about PCC or submit the PCC when requested by your VISA office.

You can use ADHAAR card if you have, else choose none. It should not be a problem.

Yes, if you are single applicant, it should be 1.

c. Question 4: "Immigration office requested for processing the application?" -- I am applying from India, so it will be NEW DELHI, India right?

Yes, it should be New Delhi, INDIA.

2. Background Declaration form
a. Question 2 -- "Write your name in native language" -- Should I print form and then write name using pen? Gujarati fonts are not available in the PDF
After taking print, you can write with BLACK pen in your local font.
b. Question 7 -- "Education details" -- I studided from Standard 1st to 12th, then did B.Tech and finally MBA. So number of years for education for Primary: 7, Secondary: 5, University: 4 and Post Secondary Schools:2. I am confused about the last "Post Secondar School". Is 2 years right there?
Yes, 2 yrs should be fine.

Yes, leave it blank.
