Added....What do yo mean by ICAS/WES???? You did both assessments.

Me too did both assessments. At first I did not know there was a significant different in the time taken for ECA report. I was naive thinking that ICAS as well as the other 3 took the same amount of time, so I chose ICAS to have my education assessed (at May 05), then I found this forum weeks later and figured out that WES took only 7 days, so I asked ICAS to see if they had any option to expedited the process, they told me no option for that because that was unfair, they wanted to remain the fairness :o. So I had no way but did another ECA using WES, guess what, I received my ECA report from WES in 6 days including time to ship my report from Can to VN, what a great service!! Since then, my ICAS app has been showing no update.

Wow! In light if your comment it makes me wonder how many other people have done this or find themselves ordering through ICAS and the other places that have extremely long processing times. Because this forum, for the most part has based its opinions on their experiences with WES processing times and not the other ECA places.

I think we shall have one more column in spreadsheet with the name of the organization from which ECA report has been obtained. I am sure most of us have got it from WES. Many others might be waiting or have already delayed their process by not using WES service.

What do you say ?

Pure MATH :D

First update by CIC - June 20th - Total applications - 28
Second update by CIC - June 24th - Total applications - 65

Number of working days between the updates - 2
Number of applications complete between the updates - 37
Number of applications/day = 18.5

Number of working days from 24th June - 16

Total apps done = 16 * 18.5 = 296 (total would be 296 + 65 = 361)

Total apps for NOC 2174 = 16 * 4 = 64 (Total would be 64 + 15 = 79)

Now, calculate for your own NOC :P

I second that... :)

Hi guys,

Let´s analyze my case, please.

1)App received on May 8th
2)CC charged on June 24th
3)Email sent by WES on July 3 asking a duplicate ECA report to be visible to CIC online.
4)On July 3 report ordered, email replied to WES requesting to inform CIC about report ordered. 36 hours later , report completed.
5) July 10 email sent to CIC requesting my appl status.
6) July 16 Still waiting for PER/NER email.

Any idea what actions should I take from now on?

thks, :-\

well, i think you will get your PER soon.
As long as they charged your CC, that means everything else was ok.
The MI check is about IELTS & ECA Certificates.
Your problem was that ECA certificate was not the required one, but it was genuine so they didn't refuse your file... they knew a way to resolve the problem and it worked, so it's a matter of time.

This is my opinion actually, so my advice for you is just to be patient.

It took me too long to send my application because I´ve chosen ICAS... At first sight, their website was easier to navigate, their forms were more simple, and they had a tracking tool for the assessment process. Also, from the 3 designated organizations, they replied faster to my e-mails... terrible terrible choice... along with time, they were updating their website and processing time were growing longer and longer... not to mention that they somehow managed to lose the documents sent and requested again.. :'(
Had I known WES was processing so fast...
Well, it´s done. I really wish CIC to make rules for those organizations, making the assessment times for FSW processes equal, so things would be fair to all applicants

yes i did both, as you said ICAS cannot expedite the process so I went to WES, though they have different assesment with my credentials. But I only submitted WES.

Hi,
Awesome formula.
I´m just trying to understand the last part

Total apps for NOC 2174 = 16 * 4 = 64 (Total would be 64 + 15 = 79)
I get it that 16 are the working days... but the 4?

Sorry, I´m confused ???
lol
