Guy I don't know who spread this 613 number in the first place! but people, don't call this number as eventually you are redirected to the 888 242 2100 number! It just adds to the redundancy! See, if you call 1-613-944-4000, you have to wait more, punch more numbers to just be redirected to CIC number. Edit: ignore what I just said.

The 888 is a toll free number and cannot be dialed from outside Canada.

Maybe because it's not possible to call a toll free number from abroad?! so we have to call this 613 number

Hi Idoit, the lady asked for UCI number and when i told i dont have one, she tranferred the call to someone else and that guy told me to contact them by email... :(
 
Sorry rajeeve6600. I think CIC just gave you the brush off :( Seems they are busy and dont want us bothering them ( only a few via the telephone give applicants updates you just have to be lucky to have them pick up your call), if you email they will tell you to wait 20 working days for a response :( This is really a waiting game. If you can afford it, try to call again.I hope they posts a Cap update today

Good luck Idoit, good news is coming to you soon I hope :) ..so CIC has already opened 13rd May applications for completeness check then.

Does anyone has any update on CIC strike? Is it resolved or still going on?

I reread the manual just now, and this is what I understand.

  • Receive application & date stamp it
  • Completeness Check
  • Ministerial Instructions Check
  • Eligibility Check
  • Record in the system that file is received
  • Enter Federal Skilled - 1
  • Goes for CC / DD
  • Assign & write UCI on the paper file
  • Send email of PER to the applicant

May be we are taking it wrong THAT after completeness its payment. Remember Sachin's case? He got his file returned that he missed the sign AND job duties does not match. This is only possible IF above steps are true.

If this is true...any idea how many days on an avg. CIC could take for completness check....as i see Payment of CC/DD is taking approximately 45-60 days..
