Any idea how many officers are in work there? And why they all together are doing only 10 application per day?

They don't just handle the FSW1 requests, so I guess load from other things (including previous backlogs) would slow them down.

So far for the statement "CIC also said that new FSWP applications will be processed in months, instead of years"
http://www.cicsimmigration.com/new-federal-skilled-worker-program-to-launch-may-4-2013/

With the current speed might take well over an year ?

Guys, I understand your point.
Never question any authority, especially when you depend on their favor. 8)

But, honestly, don't you think yourself that CIC doing their job just terribly?
I don't mind to use instead of actual names something like "some nameless and faceless CIC bureaucrat". Is it changes anything for you?

They got rid of any previous backlogs by canceling more than 200 000 applications they received before, by canceling FSW program last year in order of clearing previous backlogs.
But doing only 10 applications per day, it is guarantee they will have them always, no matter how many applications they will have.

In "my opinion" you have about an 80% chance or there about to make the cap :) , just keep watching those cap updates and keep your faith up.

I remember you said you are a wife and your husband is the applicant while we were discussing washing clothes in Switzerland. Don't worry, we will take care of the image! :P

I am just frustrated to see same bullshit going on in Canada as in my home country, same bureaucrats screwing other people lives.
Same corruption, same bureaucracy, same negligence. >:(

The least they can do, is to keep their updates UP TO DATE. They do not do it, even this simple and easy task.
Although it will save many thousands of people around the world their wasted time and money, while applying after cap was filled.
Why CIC do not do it?
The simple answer -THEY DON'T CARE.

Just had a pretty stressful conversation with CIC (but at least they gave me some info). Our application was received at 10:45am on 10 May (2174) and at this point in time it is not yet in progress (ie there is no file yet). This stresses me out as haven't other people from 10 May heard at least about cc charges etc?

In slightly good news I did get my UCI but this is only because I used to be a PR in Canada when I was little (I very VERY stupidly did not get passport before moving back to UK!) so I can now track our progress (if there ever is any!) online using this but at this stage I am just very concerned that there has been some stupid error in our application so it is on the way back or it has been dropped behind a desk somewhere in nova scotia....

Argh. :(

Thanks, mum. I am trying. ;)

Just as I said, I had that "staff" enough in my country and that is the main reason I want to relocate.
It is really frustrating to see that canadian bureaucrats are not much different from ours.
