To anyone who has emailed a query to CIC after waiting the 6 weeks (+++!) without hearing anything - did you get an automated response saying to wait a certain number of days before expecting a response from CIC? I think I remember someone saying I would receive an email saying to expect to wait 20 days but I send the email last week and have had no response whatsoever from CIC. Anyone else experience this or did you all at least get an automated email response?

And to Jigzyy and Laksmisesh - our applications were all received at same time on 10 May so fingers crossed for us all this week! Just FYI though - my mum (who is a Canadian Citizen) says lots of governmental agencies shut/limit service for more than one day for Canada Day so we shouldn't panic if things don't start happening at pace tomorrow...

you need to sent photo copies of fixed deposit or bank letter with your application.they will ask for the originals in later stage

how long been before funds available before sendin application

Good morning!! Umm no, I will call either on Thu / Fri if I did not get any email from them. Today will be too early to inquire. I have also sent them an email 11 days ago, so I might also get a reply from them this week.

Not untill you get PER/NER. Only way to know is the courier tracking.

i did not apply for police clearance(Application sent on 28th June).I am planning to take it from tatkal seva mumbai. how long does it to get police clearance?should i start the process now?

It depends from country to country and person's criminal background. I got mine in less than 4 hours from Passport Seva Kendra, New Delhi. My wife got it within 2 hours from the same location. There were three windows in sequence A -> B -> C (literally) and the same would be crossed-out on the slip that you will get there as you pass through each window. I hope the process would be similar in Mumbai.
You will get two copies and it will not have any expiry mentioned.

Just an update for those waiting to hear about NOC 1112. I have been in touch with momad (9 May) and his CC has not yet charged. I guess CIC will need to finish 9 May candidates before they venture into 10 May. At this speed, we will not hear about the 300 sub-cap before early August...

Also jigzyy, could you pls update momad's payment type in spreadsheet to CC? Thanks
