I used to wonder why it looked like that Adrenaline, about 2 persons told me +1 but I saw -1 instead....With so many more important things to dwell on, I have decided to ignore it ....they will be more important things to worry about than the number of -/+ i have.

Don't wait ..
just send your file asap. If total quota 5000 will be filled then you will not get chance.Its better to file now only.

We are applying under 2243. We self calculated 71 points but that's with 5 years of experience. It will be 6 years as of July 30. Do you guys think, (based on the trends so far (unpopular NOC ) that its better to wait until we have the full 6 yrs experience and get 73 points or just send the application now with 71 points?

Its a tuff call scotchy, you really dont need the extra point...as long as you have 67 you are ok, but like you said your noc is really uppopular so I would say you could safely wait to submit your application. I dont see the 5000 quota being filled by early August.

The English test results aren't due till July 5 and the ECA, although sent off by WES June 14 hasn't reached as yet. Gonna keep all fingers and toes crossed that the trends continue as they have the past 2 cic updates. In the meantime, we've got all the forms signed up.
Just need to request his job letters and job descriptions.

Will let you know when we have everything ready. ;D

Wow! You are mining engineer! I am 100% sure that you will get Job offer from canada and that will make big difference in your filing.
many employer are ready to hire foreign worked in your field , why dont you also search the job , apply online and give interview on skype.

there are many guys who have done this! they may offer you workpermit or may get approval from HRDS for PR process.
you have better prospectus over there and people like you are actually in demand in canada. so what I have said is possible for you.
