Is there anyone applying from Macedonia?
Not sure... However, we have a strong member from your north neighbour, as well as me from east. 8)

when did your aunt fly back to Canada? Congratulation, you light the candle of HOPE :D

How is that possible?
That would mean that they would have opened all the envelopes one by one and checked each and every profile and then finally make a decision?

let's say 1 evaluator can go over a profile and determine the number of points in a period of 10 minutes x 6 = 6 applications in 1 hour, x 8 hours = 48 applications in 1 day = 480 applications in 10 working days. If you have 2 people doing it you'll have a capacity of nearly a thousand application processed after 10 working days...

It's not at all impossible

very late may I think, i have an aunt in toronto who visited me here in singapore and I asked her to send it to the cic office when she flew back to canada - don't know the exact date she sent the package, maybe she could've brought it herself to the cic office :D. i'm in singapore, VO chosen for processing is manila. Conservative estimate for my points is 78 inclusive of my ielts band.

IMHO, it's really hard to infer some rock hard trends just by the info on the applicants worksheet. It's interesting info though :)

Dear,

Even then, you are more than lucky, if it is happened with you. Point to be noted is 4th and 5th of May were holidays. When did you handed over your application to your aunt? and as far as I know, CIC doesn't accept hand-drop by the applicant. Even if you are in Canada, you have to give it to courier service. On this circumstances, your application could not have reached before 8th of May.
May be it was received on 8th, you are charged on the basis of first come first basis itself.
Anyway, congratulation for what is done with you.

At last, why don't you join this forum giving your details to our moderator since it is very beneficial for sharing and discussion.

Hey first of all - congrats. Just wondering why did you waste one position? You could go there as businessman/entrepreneur to any of the country (UK would be more than happy to take you) as you are showing almost 90 lack INR. Just a thought ~

Also, please share your details so that admin can put your information in the sheet. Thanks mate!

My first post :D

Forgive me but I feel like people are considering this FSW 2013 as an exercise of who submits their info first rather than who merits more being accepted into the program.

I feel that there is A LOT MORE TO THE FACTORS why people have been given successful results in their applications rather than submitting the application at the earliest possible time.

Think about it, lets say you have for one NOC, you have 300 applicants with 67 points submitting their application on may 4 and another set of 300 applicants with 80 plus points submitting their applications, three months later on august 4. If you were CIC, would you close the NOC on the august applicants?

If a single guy, got a 69 point total, pledge a settlement fund of 10,000 cad and submitted on may 6, vs another guy, 79 point total, got 100,000 cad settlement and submitted on sept 6, if you got to pick between these two guys, would you pick the guy who submitted it earlier?

On the interest of disclosure, I didn't submit early, i'm from outside canada, NOC 2174. 2yr college by WES, 8.5 ielts ave. 14 yrs exp, 36 yr old, fam of 3, around 150,000 CAD in prepared settlement funds. Here's the bombshell, I just saw my CC charged. Not like I was checking it every hour - I wasn't :). Btw, I didn't use any agency.

I feel people submitting on august will still have a fair chance

Some suggestions regarding the revamp of spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is more of a raw data and lacks quick graphical representation. Would you mind adding line and bar graphs at critical areas showing trends what are quite easily understood. Going by numbers themselves doesn't reveal anything until they are placed into a neat graphical representation. It saves us from jugglery with the absolute counts and against crucial parameters.

One such sample graphical screenshot is attached.

PLUS, we can always bring the most important tabs to the front and least going down. For example, 'Top app receiver' carries less weight-age than 'App by VO'. Similarly, CIC Cap carries more weight-age than 'App by VO'; things like that. Although, I must say, we have the best spreadsheet available of all past years.

I feel like my my experience was an anomaly, and a very good and lucky one at that :D that's why I was saying that it could be because of the points... in any case, my app was received 5/31 2:31pm by dexter.

i dont think it's possible for them to do 6 apps per hour. It took me an hour to validate mine :) and i filled it :)
to do it properly i dont think they can do more then 3/hr. And not over 20/day. Thereis always something to slow you down.. Like when you're 3rd in queue in the bank.. At least 1 guy will have something messy to clear up and will be doing it for it 45min. :)

It takes a helluva lot more to apply for a businessman/entrepreneur visa. To be honest, I think the cic peeps gives an unspoken higher weightage for people with higher savings... but that's just speculation on my part..

Its impossible at this stage for CIC to charge CC for application received by them on 5/31.
Would u mind to share the complete name(CIC) on which ur CC is charged?
