At what stage does CIC collect the fees?

1. After preliminary completeness check? OR

2. After eligibility review against ministerial instructions?

- Section 8 of the document (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op06c-eng.pdf) does not mention explicitly that fees are collected after the completeness check.
- Table on page 10/11 in section 9 mentions refund of the fees if app fails to meet ministerial criteria - implying that fees are charged sometime after the completeness check.
- Section 9.1 mentions "cost recover the applicable processing fees and enter confirmation in GCMS" - This is the first mention of fees being charged to the applicant

Looks like, I am missing something here ???. Need some revelation :o.

After Completeness Check -> Payment -> MI checks & eligibility review.

If I might add, I don't think that applicants from the US have an advantage apart from the proximity to Canada. Their packages were delivered quicker and hence first in queue.

I totally agree, it is basically the date of package receipt at CIO that only matters.

Thanks jigzyy.

I have a question for you, jigzyy. How did you add the additional fields in your profile - like ECA docs sent/ reached/ ECA received etc.? I don't get those fields when I try to update my profile. Thanks.

Seniors, I noticed that NOC 2174 - as per the excel sheet - would reach the CAP limit by 22 or 23. What parameters had to be changed and why?

Thanks

Hopefully the courier problem will be sorted out on Monday (fingers crossed). On that note...

I had sent my courier to the following address:
Centralized Intake Office – Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
P.O. BOX 7500
Sydney, NS B1P 0A9
Canada

Can I give the below address to them so they send it?

Centralized Intake Office
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS B1P 5Z2
Canada

Hi, usually courrier has their website to tract and edit the delivery address where to send your parcel. So you have to move fast and edit the delivery address so that it will come to the right location. I hope that you will correct it right away and better to coordinate closely to your courrier service support.

File number will be assigned, after a case officer is assigned to your file. The case officer will be responsible for reciewing your case and giving or rejecting a visa.

On what stage of the application would this FILE NUMBER be given? What is the indication of FILE NUMBER when it will be given to you? Thanks.

Hi pratirajya,

I used Aadhar card as national Identity and it has not expiry date but I faced no issues in validating generic form without expiry date.

After the printout was taken I wrote N/A in expiry date place by hand.

Indians don't have any National id card yet. so your answer should be No if you are an indian.
