I am new to this forum. Thank you all a lot for information...

Will there be any sub cap within NOC's? Like for a 2174, it's a vast category with different technologies.
If all the 300 application's with NOC 2174 are Java developers, will they consider all of these or look for any specific technologies to fill the 300 cap?

Most importantly they have updated the date at the bottom:

The number of complete federal skilled worker applications received as of May 4, 2013 is an estimate.


It means, that actually we will see which day a certain NOC gets capped.

This is surely not as of "May 04". Rationally speaking, the numbers are for the first week ended May 10. One should not be surprised by these numbers and they are quite in line with my estimates considering ECA requirements and courier services. For the next update, multiple this number by at least 4.

Well, I am "saving grace"----it is said in Chinese forum that, the more u post and contribute to the forum, the more chance u get what u want.
It is proved by the fact that the previous admin of spreadsheet in Chinese forum almost all get their visa!

oly Mother! Goodness! If they were able to check ONLY 26 outta 5,000 in almost 7 weeks, can somebody help me do the math for how Long it 's take to complete 5,000 applications?

Can people stop trying to be over optimistic over their chances? If it says May 4, don't make it try to sound like the week beginning May 4. It is probably apps received on May 6. 26 apps on the first day is pretty damn impressive. I thought there would be much less over the first 2 days. My feeling is that the 3 hot NOCs would have been full latest by week ending 17th may. That even makes my application out of the cap. Again, these are just my feelings but I don't want to be over optimistic like others around here...

@johnnyzee : I agree with you...let's not get too carried away..some of us might be in for a big disappointment...let's be a tad practical..I too think this is an estimate for May 6th or at the most May 7th..I expect the numbers to be much more in the ending of the first week(i.e By May10th)..Let's see....

As per CIC update, there is NIL application under NOC 2131. So this means its prior to May 8 as Farhan (NOC 2131) CC is being charged today - app received on May 08.

If we take 26 for the first day, now assuming at least 10 times more from day 2,now multiplying it by 10 times (per day) = 260.
so 260 times 32 days since the start ( excluding saturday and sunday where they can't accept a Mail ) = 8320.

its only my guess, it can be more or less.....

I urge forum members whose applications where received between may 6- may 10 to be checking their account for cc charge and call banks for dd...
