I will say these call center guys are really not a good person to convince. You should go to some branch of the same bank then talk to the manager about the situation. The managers have all the resources in their hand to bring your card back to life.

Do not give up and do it fast.

I agree. The issue is that they are afraid of being held liable for any subsequent fraudulent transactions. U may have to sign a waiver,and like he pepto said, meet the managers!

Friends who used DD as fee payment and of upto 8th may can enquire at their bank for status

I just called CIC yesterday around 1pm. They said that they have no idea when the CAP updates will be realeased but if our application is past 6 weeks, we can ask for a status at nova scotia

Go in and speak with your banker directly and see what can be done, even if they can issue a card with the same number but different security numbers. YOU HAVE TO TRY AGAIN!!!!!

That's what I tried to do I really beg from them but they didn't want to because it's their bank policy that once CC has been blocked it can never be reactivated again. I'm so sad.
