Will somebody care to answer my question???


I sent my application with translated Birth certificate and National ID.

The translator sealed together my translation along with the copy of Birth certificate with his stamp on it. (he did the same for national ID)

That is all what I sent to CIC, as far as the notarised copy of both is concerned, I didn't send it seperately. I presumed that the sealed copy with translator stamp would be sufficent.

Now, I have a feeling that I should have notarised or certified the copies of both from Canadian Embassy. What do the seniors have to say about this...

Should I send the certified copies now or wait for the application to be returned (just because of this)! or CIC might accept it the way I sent and no need to worry so much?

Pls help me..I am going nuts!

Zeetheboss - you need to stop worrying. There is nothing you can do about the application now. If you are lucky (I hope so), the application will go through. Otherwise, it will be returned to you. However, you cannot send supplementary information right now as that will be futile. Have faith in your abilities and try to calm yourself now. Panicking neither helps you nor others on this forum. Keep patient and happy waiting...

You are good, take deep breath and relax. you did the right thing. Sealed translation with copy of the birth certificate IS ALL WHAT YOU NEED.

In India, not in Canada dear... You need to get it from MC

I don't think secondary school certificate can replace birth certificate, maybe one of the seniors can confirm.
Please check the thread as this question has been asked and answered before.

Is CIC expecting any new application from your end ? are you missing something here- any other communication, I hope that's not the case !

Johnny do you have an UCI or this is your first time applying? I ask this because you cannot send any additional documents to the CIO until you get your UCI. If you do not have an UCI maybe that's why the returned the additional form you sent.

I have a friend who applied in 2011 and for her PER she received an email and a letter. If you specify you e-mail address then all updates of your file will go through e-mail.

You have to provide secondary school certificate of your wife and affidavit from your wife's father in lieu of birth certificate of your wife.

Johnny do you have an UCI or this is your first time applying? I ask this because you cannot send any additional documents to the CIO until you get your UCI. If you do not have an UCI maybe that's why the returned the additional form you sent.

@ Sachin....Its about time we got some good new here and its been long overdue. It seems that they really are accepting the old generic form....a huge sigh of relief just went around the forum for those who also used the old form You can now start the credit card stalking in earnest!!! Are you up for supplying the outstanding info for your entry in the spreadsheet?
