One should be very careful handling such dangerous forms. you are sure no explosions may happen? :P

The forms are not dangerous at all, it can be dangerous if you send them by mail but are nod filled properly.each form you can open billion times and save them on your computer and click whatever you like.

And ofcourse if you save the pdf form on conputer once you don't have to be connected to thr internet to validate them. People misunderstood the purpose of validation. When you validate something, it means that all the boxes are filled properly.there is no other purpose of validation, nor CIC can now what are you doing with forms at the monent. Only when you send forms by mail:)

Ok, take this assumption. you have validated the form and barcode has been generated. you then updated one of the date fields because day and month were reversed. you printed, signed and submitted the form without validating it. then what?

If you want to change the data after validating I suggest you to do all from the scratch. That's what I did.

I'm so sorry Marta to hear such news, but as other others said, you still can re-apply as it won't cost you more than another courier especially if you are applying from USA.
Since you have applied early I assume you have used the generic form imm0008 (12-2012), is this true? this might give us a hint if they accept this version of the form as they haven't indicated it in their letter.

This is a perfect quest to worthy of an answer.

The Schedule 3 form for which Marta was rejected was updated on May 3. While the Generic Form was updated late on May 4.

I used the checklist and Schedule 3 forms updated on May 3 but Generic Form with the old date.

If Marta used both the old generic form and Schedule 3 forms, and only got rejected because of Schedule 3...then, one could imply that the old generic form is valid since no content change was done. While the format and content of Schedule 3 was greately changed.

@ Marta, could you please let us know the date on your generic form... PLEAAASEEEEEEEE

We have to wait and see. Hope it will be clear by next week if any applicant who submitted old generic form gets rejection mail or cc charged.

You'll have to validate every time you change a field. It will regenerate all bar codes. IF you have not done that, then it'll have the same old information in bar code.

....and one do not have to be connected online to use or validate the generic form. At least, I could not find any information which says otherwise.

The purpose of validation is;
1) to check whether all the minimum required tabs are filled,
2) to check if the correct alphabetic or numeric or alpha-numeric format has been used as per each tab's requirement, and
3) to convert and summarize human language into a set of computer readable bar-codes.

Hope no more confusions to anyone.
