Usually no email, just application back after a few months. Which is partly why some persons chose to use CC as payment so they will have some idea after 2-3 months if their card is not charged.

This is something i was wondering about, how would we know that we are within the cap or not?!... As you & Jigzyy are saying that probably some occupations would be reaching the cap now, so will they tell the people who didn't make it to the cap by email first or it's just that this people will receive suddenly their application back by mail?

Only administrators can access the doc..its only for our reference. If you need to update ur info..put it in the forum in GREEN and they will update the doc.

I am applying for NOC 0211, hopefully by tomorrow. Do you think this is very popular NOC this year. I am kind of worried if the cap has been filled already.

Hi Sonia, while I appreciate your optimism believe me its refreshing.... I know that quite a few persons got ECA before May 4th and even more after the first week following May 4th. Hot NOCs like 1112, 2174 and 2147 are almost surely full by now or will be on the next day CIO opens.

I am a newbie here (and dont have a lot of experience) but have been doing quite a bit of research for the last couple of weeks regarding this Canadian Immigration Obsession (thats what i'd like to call it personally)...but just to throw in some OPTIMISTIC LIGHT for this year's applicants...

I think (and personally HOPE from the deepest corner of my heart) that this year it may take a little longer than usual to fill up the caps...and the only factor that may be causing this exciting delay is the (stupid) ECA. Because it does not matter where you are from, or whether ALL your docs are pre-ready...i'm sure EVERYONE is just getting stuck at getting the ECA report done...and if i'm not wrong, I dont think WES is doing an amazing job at providing everyone with their ECA reports within the lame 7 business days (as they had promised). What happened in the "Pre-ECA era" is most people had all the required documents ready and they shipped it as soon Canada opened their doors...and so it didnt even take them a week to fill up the popular caps!

So well its kinda ironic, but i personally thank ECA and WES...its actually buying people like me (who do not have ALL their docs pre-ready) some time to actually sit down and wait for everything to arrive and apply HOPING there will be still some space available at this global race...Its just some OPTIMISTIC thinking...so lets all just relax...take a deep breath...and hope for the best!

Got Positive Response Jan 10 2010

Hand in Documents March 10 2010 to Canadian High Commission

Medical Late July 10 2010

Got Visa Sep 15 2010

Arrive in Canada Apri 16 2011

For all those who have asked..... you can use this as your reference for all your "how long" questions and well as the "why would they reject" and "how soon would I know" questions

Islanbabe you can also ask the bank which made the DD if the same have been en cashed or not I have been a banker for 10 years in India and Canada

Thanks Project. I am aware of this, but persons usually don't like bothering the banks every other day asking about their drafts, while some CC applicants almost literally stalk their online banking accounts to see whe CC is charged

Islanbabe you can also ask the bank which made the DD if the same have been en cashed or not I have been a banker for 10 years in India and Canada

I had one more questions regarding the checklist and application forms:

Say I did not use any representatives...do i still need to print "the use of representative" form and write "None" or "N/A" in the form...or can i just NOT include that form in my application and leave that space in the checklist blank?
