They will receive them still and date stamp them....they will keep them until they are certain they have 300 completed qualified applications..then they will start sending them back to applicants ( the ones that didnt make the cap)

Hi I had a QUERY...I would highly appreciate if an admin (or someone who has expertise in the matter) can reply:

I am confused regarding the certification of photocopied documents....My questions are:

1. Do ALL the photocopied supporting documents need to be notarized and stamped (true copy) in them? For example copy of my passport, copy of my birth certificate, etc...even if they are in English?

2. I have relatives in Canada who have sent me scanned soft copies of their PR cards and other necessary docs...Do these also need to be notarized and certified as true copies? If so...do they HAVE to notarize them from canada and send me hard copies via mail??

Thanks a lot

I discussed with HDFC bank representative today.. he told as per new RBI guidelines, DD can be issued only for 3 months.

I agree Harry... Donno how applicants from India have sent in applications with DD... I've been following every bank in delhi on this and nobody could give me a DD for 6 months... I've decided to talk to my CC guys to increase my limit . If they don't do so in time , as suggested by one of the forum members i'll putin money in my CC so that it always has that amount available which is required for my application ( i checked with credit card company and they have agreed that if you put surplus in your credit card account, it can be used as your credit limit)

You don't need to notarize all copies. They have specifically asked for those copies for which you are sending translation. For example, Birth Certificate, if its not in English, than you must get it translated, and than notarize it along with originals copies. It is not limited to Birth Certificate, your mark sheet, degree etc, anything that is not in English / French needs to be done like this.
