They will first open the application on first come first serve basis and check for the completeness without counting it towards the sub-cap. Once the completeness is passed, it is than considered in the cap [if cap is <= 300].

If somehow, the application gets rejected in the Credit Card / DD charging stage or eligibility stage, it'll be moved out of the cap, and new will enter until 300 is achieved again.

They'll keep few of the files with them unless they are sure that 300 is full. Than they'll start to return it.

I discussed with HDFC bank representative today.. he told as per new RBI guidelines, DD can be issued only for 3 months.

I just noticed a small mistake in my payment form to CIO.

Everything is okay in the form. The payment info and the amount all are correct. I just forgot to fill "No. Of Persons" column.

Processing Fee No of persons. Amount per person Amount due $CAD

Principal applicant 1 X550 550

Family member age 22 or above X550 550

Family member under 22 married X550 0

Family member under 22 unmarried. X150. 150

Total Payment $1250

Will it be a problem or will it be okay?? What should I do now??

DD is a DD either from Thomas Cook or any nationalized bank.

please update row 36:
date received: may 17
time reveived: 9:27 am
signed by: SANDR

TIA!

Just to be clear....1 DD to cover primary applicant and/or spouse and any children accompanying, you will have to calculate your own total based on the guide.

Thanks islandbabe for updating!

Yeah, I was little surprised to see the name is not common in the list. I hope its only because their expecting over 5000 applcations so they have more people to receive and check...

Hope to be included in the count that CIC will release soon.
Would anybody know if they stated the cut off date in their website the last few yrs? Like "received applicatiosn as of COB Friday, 17 May"

Yet another person has inboxed me to ask if CIC will select applications based on total points earned. CIC just wants to know that you pass the benchmark of 67 points. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU GET 67 OR 100 POINTS!!!!!!! CIC will assess based on the date that they received your application, you must have met the 300 application cap cut off date. As long as your application then earns 67 or more points you will be processed. We are not competing against each other directly but rather against time...to meet the cap.

AMEN!!

After I saw your post checked my fee payment form too. I too made the same mistake. Hope and pray it dosen't create a problem.

I have a weird question in my mind.

we are talking about hot NOCs and cap reaching within first few days or weeks. lets say that one particular NOC cap has reached then what will CIC do with the new applications arriving their office on daily basis? Ask courier company to take it back or receive and then send it back with different courier?

So far, CIC is receiving applications under all NOCs so is it safe to presume that none of NOC is reached to the CAP?

what are your thoughts?
