Seniors, I posted this request earlier, someone should kindly guide me:
My spouse was born in India and she does not have a birth certificate. She only has a record of catholic baptism which indicated her date of birth and parents' names. This is what she has always used in place of birth certificate. Also, she left India as a young child, she did not complete any education there and she does not have a 'marksheet' as stated earlier in this forum.
I have sent our application using this baptismal document.
1. Can our application be returned because of this?
My wife recently told me that during one of her travels, the embassy in our home country, requested for a confirmation of birth. She showed me a handwritten document from the hospital, stating parents' names and her date of birth without indicating her name. The document also has both Tamil and English inscriptions below it.
2. Should I send this document to CIC?
3. If yes to Q2 above, do I need to translate the Tamil aspect, though it looked as if the translation has been done in English (beside the Tamil words). My wife can only speak Tamil, she cannot read it.
4. If I am to send this document, can CIC link it to my file? I do not have a UCI. I am the principal applicant, but my wife had UCI from a previous unsuccessful FSW application.
5. What is the best means of sending the document - email, fax, courier or combinations?
I will appreciate as many inputs as possible from people on this forum.
Thank you.
