Yes, the form was not changed, only the date, but CIC has clearly mentioned that from now on (4th May), only new forms will be accepted. Dated on Generic, Checklist and Schedule 3 is changed.coolguy2010 said:It depend upon the forms which has been sent. If there are no changes in the form and it has been sent with old dates at bottom , its fine
If the forms are changed and already old forms are sent to CIC, then bad luck for that guys
There are major changes in few forms only (not all forms). Example Travel form , Additional Family Info, is not changed (even though date at the end of the form might have changed)
Hey bro,u scared me! These two form did not change! My heart is almost broken when u r referring these two form!coolguy2010 said:There are major changes in few forms only (not all forms). I guess cic changed the bar code or something, have u compared the bar code between old version and new one?jigzyy said:Yes, the form was not changed, only the date, but CIC has clearly mentioned that from now on (4th May), only new forms will be accepted. However, there might be a chance that CIC might not bother 2012-12.
Yes, barcode gets different, but they still contain the same info. I have decoded the barcode, and I got the info, the last 2 barcodes on the signing page has the info about the form, the application on which it was filled and the operating system info. about 3 - 4 bar codes remain empty [means with no info on it].Huangxyqjy said:I guess cic changed the bar code or something, have u compared the bar code between old version and new one?

Hi guys,
For all of you that sent the application on 4th of May and did not include the new Generic application form!(because it was not yet up-dated)!!!
I just call CIC and explained the situation, the operator said that our applications would not be returned if the application form is old!!!
He advised me not to send another application package.
Lets pray this information is valid
Ah great. That's a good news.anac said:Important!!!

Ha, luck is with you!scribe123 said:Oh my word!!!
Just saw the post about the generic form
I checked and realised that I had sent the old one also. I called FedEx and luckily the driver was still in my area, and they sent him back to me. Busy filling the form out, validating and printing, he arrived. He even sat outside for 10 minutes while we checked it, opened up our old package and swapped the forms.
I am no longer peeved at FedEx for giving me incorrect delivery dates. They are fantastic (or at least this particular driver is).
God bless u!anac said:Important!!!

Will it mean that my spouse dosen't know english? As in the new rules they wanted both the principal applicant and the spouse to be proficent in English.jigzyy said:Tick No. As you are providing no IELTS for her. It won't effect your application.
