Hello All!

I would like to apply for this year's FSW but I have a few questions, I hope someone can answer based on experience:

1. I was in the IT field in 2004, as a Network Administrator (2281). I changed work since then until present where I am now in a different NOC which is not in the list. Can I still apply?

2. I have been working the past 10 years, no gaps. Will I be given points for 10 years work experience?

Thanks in advance guys!

Education need not match the Noc under which he is applying. Do not hide the education has he will have to account for all his time on the Schedule A form and he may need the points.

Thanks Islandbabe , +1 ,what about the post that I made about proof of funds , can we show property documents as proof of funds...... ;)

This has always been a tricky issue, people claimed you could have the property assessed and used for Proof of funds...but CIC asks for funds are assets that can be made liquid in a very short period of time, this does not include property, so to be on the safe side NO, do not use this for proof of funds.

HI,
I Checked CIC Web and something came up for my application as below.
I did the medical check on 14 April.
What's the next step?
Passport will be requested and get the visa?

1.We received your application for permanent residence on May 30, 2013.
2.We started processing your application on April 8, 2014.
3.Medical results have been received.
4.A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

No question is silly or foolish, use paper clip to attach small photographs and other smaller documents, otherwise leave unbound. DO NOT STAPLE

One very important question from me. Actually important for my situation.

I work as an engineer at seas. Now I am on vacation. My vacation ends in June, but my company is asking if I can join a ship of theirs earlier.

My immigration application status is "Medicals received" at the moment. Anytime they can ask for my passport. And I can be on the ship, which makes me impossible to send my passport to them.

Is there sometimes occasions that they just ask for copy of passport? I've already sent the copy of my passport, when they asked for some updated documents of mine.
