Hi i am new to this forum.I am planning to send my application this week.As i am doing it myself i want some advise from the persons who had already applied.This is the first question i have.please answer soon.

Form:schedule 3(IMM 008): row11:
assets: I have term-deposit which is equal to amount required by CIC.I have a property on my name.can i show my property value in this?
liabilities:I have taken mortgage so should i mention mortgage value in this?
settlement fund:this should be (assets -liabilities) or (only the term deposit fund available with me?)
Proof of settlement fund should be term-deposit copy or should i include property papers and mortgage papers too?

@Nirmal: Just for my information, how did you manage to get DD with a validity of more than 3 months? I see you're from Delhi (so am I) and during my application filling time I was trying the same option but I was told that as per RBI regulations, no bank can issue a DD of more than 3 months.

Hi Geeka - I am sure my DD also has 3 months of validity (country level rules - RBI). However, I got it on 3rd May only and my application reached on 8th May - so I have given CIC DD of (3 months - 5 days) validity - the best I could do!

I did also same made draft on the previous day of sending my application, but
I am told by Axis Bank manager that they can issue 6 month validity DD on special request, I have go for that. if you have time you can explore that

Please answer these questions........
1. All form and copies should be filled on bond paper or normal A4 paper? Also copies means normal black and white Photostats or attested copies by notary?
2. If I add separate sheet then this sheet should be (plane paper with form number, my name and main duties written on it) OR (the particular page form the CIC form filled for particular remaining information written on it)
3. Can I use pen if certain column of a form has a word limit count to add additional information remaining in that column?
4. I am having state bank credit card. In India they need 3-D secure code for any transaction. If I give my credit card information to CIC, will they be able to withdraw money from Canada?
5. Which is best city to get chemical engineering job in Canada? Also do we need licensee to start job there? In NOC site it is written that licensing by a provincial or territorial association of professional engineers is required to approve engineering drawings and reports and to practice as a Professional Engineer.
6. My wife family name (surname) was different before marriage. In passport she has her current family name as we acquired it after marriage. In marriage certificate too she has her current family name without any mention of her previous family name as we registered our marriage after 3 months of marriage. But in birth certificate her previous family name is mentioned. So there is no document which shows that her family name was changed after marriage. But in document checklist they need legal document for name change. What should I provide for that?

English is not my native language so all my documents are translated by a certified translator. As I read yesterday, the translator should write a statement that the documents are translated in original.
He has a seal and a document number on each document. Does he need to sign me a separate statement to declare for all documents?

Any experience?

I need to ask this question again after the quiet weekend.

Admins, you have changed the parameters of 2174 which makes the cap probably filled on 21/22/23. What are the factors which triggered this change?
