I went to my bank today to check DD encashed status..bank told they can't check until they are informed from novascotia which takes 1 month.. as DD was issued by this Indian bank to pay in canada through Nova scotia bank.

Does someone know any way to get DD status checked? or did someone tried?

While filling my form, I was curious myself as to how will I track the status, hence used the CC option.
As your bank mentioned, my bank told me the same thing, so I dont think there are more options.

this is ridiculous but i just did not used CC as it after entering details, it takes to bank website to put Security Password. so i preferred DD.

Anyone else encountered this?

Mine says it will take at least 20 days [Payable to Royal Bank of Canada in Toronto]. 14 Days is the standard time to keep the money [RBC told too].

For those who sent DD as form of payment, would you know anything we can do to trace the status of our documents if it was already been opened or any indication? Like is it possible to check form our bank if there is already business transaction/successfully charged by the bank from Canada?

Yes, in 2011 my wife's file was returned due to invalid/expired dd and when we resend it returned due to CAP fill
