One more suggestions needed

My husband's passport is going to expire by July, he applied for renewal of the same but he may get it in a week.
And in my passport my place of birth is wrongly mentioned unlike DOB certificate and I have corrected the same and I may get my new passport after a week. Shall I explain this to Embassy in the letter and submit the old copies of
our passport and will update once I get those whether they will accept it as they have mentioned in the app guide that
passport validity should not be less than 2 years ...

Dear nithya,

Actually you wasted your time by renewing your old passport with a new one as just because your place of birth is different in birth certificate and passport...
DoB and parents name are more important, place of birth change in birth certificate and passport doesn't matter... But you should take care to add the same place of birth mentioned in the passport in the forms...

Now you should submit both old and new passports to embassy... Better to add a covering letter else they might confuse why you changed your passport without reaching the expiry date, if suppose they won't notice the place of birth change in both...

I seem to have found the source of this silence from NDVO from last 3 days and there eagerness to release multiple DM's so quickly just before that. Could not have helped more myself and just googled about canada high commission in india and stumbled on this link. So i guess any further progress for NDVO guys relating to AOR/MR/DM will resume only after the general heads back home and that is from Monday 3rd March.

How long does it take for the application package to reach India once CIO dispatches it?
My application was sent on 14th Jan.
My Banker's draft will expire on 30th March and it was issued in UK (I am in UK at present). So worried..

There is no fix tym for the applictn to reach india from my personal exp as in 2011 I got my applictn back in 10 days, and this year thy sent my applictn back on 10th jan and I havnt got it back till now...so nobdy can predict this bt roughly around 2 mnths.

Secondly all international DD's have six mnths validity and tht too for beneficiary....It nevr expires u cn get ur money back anytym by presenting the DD or else u cn request bank for stop paymnt and thy vl give u the money in 4 to 5 days tymm and u dun need to present dd for tht...
