Hello Folks.. .
So, I just got my medicals done at Lilavati Hosp in Mumbai, Docs over there are very friendly, All you need to do is reach on the 2nd floor of the hospital. There is a designated room for Visa, where we need to fill out our details, which is then verified against our passports. Since Lilavati is CIC recognized E-enabled medical facility, they would take your photograph, and provide you a sheet with a set of questionnaires indicating various types of disorders/diseases, against which we would be assessed.
The nurses then accompany you for testing your blood pressure, height and weight. They are quite friendly, I asked them if everything was alright as per the Body Mass Index, she was glad to respond. Then they ask you to proceed for eye test, where they ask you to read minute letters printed on the wall.
The visa helpdesk asks you to pay the fees .. which is INR 3500 (Credit cards accepted).
There is a good amount of people waiting for blood and urine sample collection, so be prepared to wait for about 1/2 hr or so..Once they call out your name, the samples are collected, and finally it's physical verification of your upper body, they look for any tattoo marks, any stitches or any injury mark appearing on the body. They are typically looking for grave injuries and not minor cuts or scratches.
Final step is they take your chest x-ray and then thats it. You medicals is done .. in about 1.30 - 2 Hrs. But before you proceed to exit, they ask you to meet the consulting doc. (Who is CIC recognized one of the panel doctors in India). Once the doc signs off your medical checksheet, you are good to go. The visa helpdesk would give you a medical acknowledgment sheet, which we would require to submit it with CIC- NDVO, along with your medical fee payment.
