Hi Guys,
I have just joined this forum. I am also an aspirant just like many of you here.

I have filed for FSW under 2174(through an agency) on 6th of May as a programmer analyst.

Have any of you recieved file # so far?
is there anyway to check the status of the file numbers?


PS: If it has already been discussed or shared, pardon my ignorance, kindly share the link at least.
These agency guys are asking for money and are not providing any update on file numbers.

We are yet to hear about any file # but we do have a guy whose CC got charged. So certainly more CC/DD getting charged and files # are en-route.
We are eagerly waiting for the inrush of series of news!

It is not calculated on average rate because for Canada 1 CAD is 1 CAD throughout. It is for foreign nations whose value fluctuate against their currency. So there's no point calculating average for each and every country from where a person applies and then considering the fund's actual value in terms of CAD.

Basically it works this way!
The minimum required (to-be-declared) fund is only valid at the time of filing the application to CIC and on that day's rate of exchange. If the fund is below the threshold, the file will be rejected and returned, else processed for other parameters. CIC knows the fund can go down and cannot be locked for the entire duration but they also know that you have a source of income and the fund will go up again. So the juice of the entire idea is they want the minimum required fund to be available at the time of application.



They might re-check the funds at a later stage once you are through with most of the road-map or when called upon an interview.

(Asked CIC agent right now for you and myself ) Mine and a bunch of my friend stayed same for several different types of visa application ranging from student visa, visit visa and now PR. Plus they changed it to UCI (Universal Client Id) to have. It makes sense as they want to have a history of everything regarding applications of a person in Canada.

jigzyy: I called CIC with my UCI and there's no use in calling them. Just wanted to save you some bucks and some time. You'd be referred to make contact with CIO, which the CS will tell you there's no number to reach them. You only have to email them.

I cared to take my time to make those comments, because even though I'm not from India, I like it as I like any other cultures esp. the influential ones, I presented some facts. It's time to wake up! Remember, I respect her as any other person, but no ideology/faith is unquestionable, I raised question about her teachings. That's what I tried to do I really beg from them but they didn't want to because it's their bank policy that once CC has been blocked it can never be reactivated again. I'm so sad.

You need to threaten them about closing your account and moving all the money to a competitor. I am sure they will be all ears after that! Anyway, would be great to have your details on the spreadsheet...

I beg to differ. You guys need to add your details now so people can assess for themselves the total number of apps. If you just keep stalking, then you are getting unfair advantage. Plus, no one knows your name or where you stay. Everything is based on username which is pretty much anonymous! I hope you get what I am saying. Superstition is one thing and being surreptitious is another!

Thanks! I guess my total CC charge would be CAD 1100 (me and my wife, no kids)..so thats 1081 USD, roughly.
