Thanks shredills, does CIC email applicants? How soon can I expect to hear from CIC once the application is received?

If mode of payment is CC, once you are charged your application has been approved for initial processing. If its DD, at many places its not easy to track if it has been en-cashed in Canada. Your bank (at your place) may get you a status of the DD. Both ways, if you are charged your application has been accepted.
If you don't get a response from CIC thru email or postal mail, send them an email. Remember to mention following.

CIC Email: CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry (CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca) (Mention FSWP in your email subject)

Your Complete Name: As per passport
Date / Place of Birth:
UCI No: You'll not be having so mention that you don't have it.

NOC 2263 has reached its CAP on 21st Jan 2014, in my opinion, you are having 50-50 chances. I have seen applicants of mid Dec getting fee encasements during last couple of weeks. Wait and see, good luck.

I'm in same position. Status "Started Processing the application" updated on 20th Oct 2013, I've sent a mail to NDVO on Nov 28th 2013. till now no response. 2 days agao I got CII mail. very tense

What does CII mean?

YEAH... Unfortunately WARSAW office has not started processing FSW2013 applications. They are still clearing their backlog from old applications... HOW MUCH TIME DO WE HAVE TO WAIT...?????!!!!!

There are two sessions on two separate days..you need to register with your file no and also upload a resume with your experience etc.

All in all this whole exercise is for us to gain as much information as we can and settle down in any occupation or related occupation. They say that if we do a proper research we can settle down in a good job within less than 3 - 5 months.

Very useful information, my suggestion to all off you is to attend it and moreover it is totally free........
