one quick question....
before the expiry of PR visa only the principle applicant must land and get PR card(which i guess should be valid for entire family) or the whole family must land there and get PR card for individual members

Each and every person of the family gets a visa on his/her own passport including the principle applicant ...it's necessary that the principle applicant land with the family or land 1st ..but even the rest of the family have to land prior the expiry of the visa in their passports.

as an example: if you are the Principle applicant and you have a wife and 2 kids, the 4 of you will get visas stamped on the 4 passports with the same expiry date (lets say dec 31, 2014)...you should land with them before that date ,or land alone before that (lets say sep 1 2014) without them, but then they all have to land before or on dec 31,2014 before their visas expire

Each member including principal applicant has to land before the expiry of their visas with the condition that principal applicant must land first. Family members can land with principal applicant or later but must land before expiry of their visas stamped on their passports.
And each family member shall apply for their PR Card separately upon landing.

No - they don't. There is no need to apply for the PR card. The PR card is automatically issued as part of the landing procedures.

Hello folks,

I know i am a bit late in applying for the FSW looking at your posts... (BTW congratulations to all who are in the advanced stage and are awaiting their visas soon.
Anyway, i have applied for 2134 - Chemical Engineers, and my file reached CIO on 20th December.
Now 2134 cap has reached 154 as on 24th Dec. I just want to know, do i have a chance of beating the odds and making it in within the cap. To the best of my knowledge, i have submitted a complete file. I am scoring 77 points.
IELTS - 8.0 bands
Spouse IELTS - 7.0 bands.
PCC attached.
Work Exp - 7 years

Chances are bright infact very bright.

HI who1074. I am applicant of october. My application was received on 09. October but still my CC not charged. As you are CC already charged and one applicant of 31st October also got cc charged, it means that my application is declined OR still there is some positive response expected. Thanks for your reply.

Another thing to consider is the validity of your medical tests... you must try to land before your medical tests expire even if your PR visa is still valid for couple of months. The medical tests are valid for one year from the date of your medical examination. If your medical tests expire before you land then you will have to undergo the medical checkup again which can be a pain the arse..

Thanks for the clarification. Actually I was trying to emphasize that PR card is not for the whole family as inquired in the parent post. Every body gets their own.
