Hi all,

I have an IELTS question, when the listening test started I usually use the 30 seconds of the sample answer to get an idea about section 4 questions. When I did so, the instructor came towards me and told me to open on section 1. That destructed me and I told her its my time, isn't it? then mentally I couldn't get in the flow of the listening test. I filled a complain after the paper exam.

What do you think is going to happen next?

Is it possible to arrange the google doc applicant info sheet in order of Date Received!??

So, it'll be easier to track and we'll get an idea of who all should we be first hearing from....regardless of NOC?

Why to waste your time on Section 4 when they have allocated the time for Section 1? You will have your few secs for each section. Looks like you haven't been paying attention to the instructor. Your complaint is of no use as invigilator has pointed out correctly.

One important technique about the listening test is to build a buffer, as soon as the exam starts its up to the ielts taker to manage his time. Yes, even in the listening test, in fact instructors should not move unless there is cheating incident for instance. I strongly believe it is not of the instructors business to tell me which section should I focus on and when

Nah, I think we should rather sort by date within each NOC category (as opposed to alphabetical order). If we want any more analyses, we can always download the sheet on our PCs and do the needful.

What do you think Jigzyy? Also, seems like some NOC codes are in "comma" format. Very minor though...

Why whats so special about Schedule 3 form??
As far as i know...both Generic n Schedule 3 are equally imp....and ther is equal possblity of applicaton being returnd if someone uses an older version

The older Schedule 3 varied quite a bit from the newer one hence Martha's application was returned. On the other hand, the generic 0008 only differs in the footer and not the content. Hope this helps...

a wait list is possible. however, if nobody from the first 300 is rejected, those on the "wait list" will be so unlucky because they will be the last people to hear from CIC. or... they will be so fortunate/blessed if eventually a few won't be qualified during the review of application.

Fear Factors of a FSWP Applicant (FSWP Syndrome) :-\

Fear 0 - Application received within the CAP or not
Fear 1 - Forms filled were updated or not specially "Schedule 3"; "Checklist" & "Generic Form" etc
Fear 2 - Forms were completed or not
Fear 3 - Names in local language were written after printout or not
Fear 4 - Forget to write N/A in a blank fields
Fear 5 - Another document instead of Birth Certificate
Fear 6 - Credit Card issue from issuing Bank
Fear 7 - Signed the forms at the end or Not
Fear 8 - Form Half computer filled & half pen filled acceptance (incase of small filling area)
Fear 9 - Correction/cutting on Demand Draft but signed by issuing person to make it correct
Fear 10 - Picture size was acceptable or not
Fear 11 - Stapled the forms
Fear 12 - Document translation was sent or not
Fear 12 - Incase of app return, Correction & resubmission within the cap
Fear 13 - If app is accepted, fear of Job situation in Canada
Fear 14 - Cold Weather Fear ;D


Right now my fears are 1, 4, 8, 9 ...they are killing me .... :-[

I'm sorry but I have to agree with Jigzy, the whole point of the IELTS listening test is to listen to a section and answer within the given time. This is to test your listening ability, in a real life situation, do we get a head start on a conversation? And if you were sitting in front of me in the test, I would definitely be disturbed by your turning of the pages when its not the time to do so. Also the instructors are the authority in the test so we have to do what they say.

This thread has become the master thread for everything FSW 2013 I'm not sure I'm liking the random questions that have nothing to do with the timeline. Weren't the repetitive questions enough? Apart from the questions with the very obvious answers. Oh well.

And if you were sitting in front of me in the test, I would definitely be disturbed by your turning of the pages when its not the time to do so. Also the instructors are the authority in the test so we have to do what they say.

I completely believe its up to candidates how to flow with the test by moving forward or backward during the pause times (between sections when you check your answers or look for next questions). I don't know, this what i used to do without any problems but today. anyways, I will update you of what happened with the complain

No. It is not allowed to change sheets between the pause times. IELTS security has been increased and the invigilation is very strict now. You are not simply allowed to move away from the section that the speaker / instructor is announcing at that time.

Well do let us share what is the outcome of the complain.
