You can use the calculator to find out if you have lived in Canada long enough to be eligible for citizenship. If you have, the calculator will tell you that you are eligible to apply. If you have not, it will tell you when you will be eligible to apply.

Just to correct, it is 2 years out of 5 years to maintain the PR status. But to apply for citizenship it may be different. Check this link for maintaining PR status http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomers/about-pr.asp#keep_status.

Please need expert answer... embassy asked me to complete the history records and the address information in tue backgroud declaration form. I already provided this imformation for. 13 Years in the application. may This be a reason.? but not since my 18 years.

Had you provided them complete list of Addressses where you lived since your 18 yrs. Have they completed their verification on those addresses How do they do that

Nope, I have been following with my consultant since then, he says the courier details are with his Canada office. Im waiting for it

Hi Sandy1985,
Do you know if it is necessary to get the PCC from passport office only?? The local police station is fine or no?
I have sent the local one along with my application.

They had no format.. I typed it all and they just verified and signed.. seal's are also in Hindi.
The passport office looks more reliable..???

I am not sure..If local police station can issue PCC.But when I checked with my local police station they said I need to fill a form in SP office and then I will get my PCC from there.They also demanded bribe to do the same.
