I wish I could say something like some other cold-blooded cool people were saying here
"I was on business trip(vacation) recently and completely forgot about all this application thing, so I did not check my e-mail for a week or so.
When,accidentally, I checked it, my PER letter was there. Right on schedule. Admins update my status." 8)

But I am not that cool and my balls is not made of steel. :'( ;D
Although being through months and months of tense waiting I think I will gradually develop it. 8)
The truth is, I was eagerly awaiting for this coveted e-mail and checked my box every half an hour last few days.
And finally, yesterday's morning I've got it!!! I received my PER!!!
ECAS status also showing IN PROCESS now!!!
I feel so glad and relieved now.



I made it to the next level of our waiting game. ;D

That CIC update is until May for the applicants who received PER but not till date applications received by CIC.

I just checked the website of CIC, the received application for NOC 2132 by CIC stands at 58. If anyone got a revised version, please do update, thanks.

Hi.... Just to update if anyone faces this problem... I remember reading somewhere that if IELTS authorities refuse to send you a duplicate copy on your address, you can bypass the system by giving them a friends address to send the duplicate..... Apparently it is your address they do not accept for duplicate but any alternate address can be shown as an organisation you want your result to be sent to...

does cic provide per to anyone having missing responsibility letter from past company. ?

No except your current company provides one and you have worked there for at least a year. Mine was returned because roles and responsibility were not included. I have seen a post here where you can ask a colleague to write and probably attest it and include business card if HR wont do the letter.

In the UK there is a law called the Data Protection Act which in a nutshell means you can demand that anyone who holds information about you on their computer systems discloses such information in writing to you upon request. They are allowed to charge an admin fee for such a service, but they cannot legally refuse to provide the information. I believe that IELTS test results fall under this law, and that the British Council is potentially breaking the Data Protection Act by refusing to provide in writing a copy of the results.

So according to "Data Protection Act " in UK we could claim for copy of IELTS from BC. Please state regarding this law also while enquiring about the copy, surely it might work

Thanks. I'll give it a shot. Just in case I need it for another application. Now I am only hoping CIC accepts directly from BC as explained in my letter.

ABOUT COLLECTING ORIGINAL IELTS RESULT SECOND COPY FROM BRITISH COUNCIL


They actually comply with their data protection act globally (http://www.britishcouncil.org/home-data-protection.htm). In my country also, they will not going to give you any copy of IELTS result, but they will send to 5 organizations!

I called them( main branch in my city from where I collect my IELTS result) and talked with their IELTS unit:

Told them I send my copy to CIC and I need a copy for myself.

They asked ' Do I have any documents that I send to CIC: like DHL, fedex Shipment invoice?'

I said yes, they said no prob come to our office and you have to do below to get your result sheet:

1. Bring your invoice of sending original IELTS result to CIC (DHL,Fedex, UPS invoice: if you don't have it try to collect it from the courier as it computer composed, hopefully they can help)

2. Bring the CIC checklist where it written they need original IELTS result from you

3. You have fill a form at their office (British council)

4. You have to pay a small amount of fees.


Then you can collect your result after 48 hours of requesting Cheesy

So dear all, let's not procrastinate and contact your own British council office and talk with them.

Take it not from your colleague but from your supervisor...prepare one, print on company letter head, include fax, web, postal address, phone of company, include full name designation email phone of your supervisor and convince him and take a sign and send to CIC
