Hey Guys,

Today I received an email from CIO with regards to my enquiry sent on Jul 19th:

CIO Email:
"Your file is with our office and is awaiting completion of initial processing. You will be contacted further in due course."

Background of my case:
File received on: May 15th
CC Charged on: Jul 13th
PER received on: Jul 24th

Now I was of the view that I would receive a response from CIO saying that "your file was transferred to LVO on such and such date etc." since its already been 21 days (Today's date Aug 14th minus PER Date Jul 24th)

What do you think why the file is still with CIO, whats goin on there.....?

Seniors feedback would be appreciated...

i think they don't take pain fo going through the actual status of file.. n reply wid this general email..

i received same email at the beginning of 10th week..

None got charged in our NOC till now ... but atleast few hours back I tried IVR and this time I was able to hear the msg "App received on .... " !

Finally a gud news in our noc...

I know there are some people in this forum who received a response that "our office sent you an email on .... (here they are referring to PER email) and now your file has been transferred to LVO contact them directly."

Did you already get charge, when you sent an email? or you sent before getting charged?

I am thinking that 21 days are more than enough to transfer the file from CIO to London Visa Office unless the case is really very tough to assess

I want to know when uci is issued once the application have been recieved at cio? Is uci also issued via telephone call or any other means than their official reply?can the applicant get it on their own from cio? What does it means if someone is isuued uci?

i received this few days before receiving PER..
i sent them an email couple of days before receiving PER..and reply is due.. probably wil get nxt week or so.. n wil definately let u knw wat they say this time.. ;D

1. Once your application is open for entry in system UCI is generated 2. UCI is tracking number they will tell you if you are calling to CIC (they will ask you few personal details), they will also mention your file no and UCI no in PER 3. If someone isued UCI means the file is received and opened for review. hope this helps
