Hi Vats,

I do not think i will make up to the CAP as already till may the count is 885. I have given IELTS and waiting for result. However, I am thinking can i apply for "quebec skilled worker immigration" instead of FSW as there are very little chances that I will make it to the overall CAP.

Thanks,
Tulika

Hi Tulika,

You do have a fair chance in FSW also. Only 34 applications have been received by CIC by far and 2131 is not a hot NOC. You are encouraged to keep the Quebec option open but do not be pessimistic with FSW.

Luckily Civil engineers are included in 2013 AOT (area of training) of QSW in accordance with the newly implemented rules from 1st August 2013 and are high in priority so you can definitely go ahead for that. However a little problem is that they have raised the French level requirement to B2. :(

Calculate your points in the following link:

Best of luck
ESZB

Vats is right

You have still chance as it will not get over son , and about overall qouta 5000 will even not till the end of may 2014!

The worry is for 2174 , 2147 and 1112

Thanks a lot Vats, ESZB and fsw2174 for the motivation and information.I will apply for FSW..... and I will try for Quebec as well. French is not compulsory I guess for Quebec now,we need 57 points which I think we can get without French also.

Thanks a lot,
Tulika

Yep...Waiting for IELTS Result :)

I have one question on National ID - I am and an Indian living in Dubai so I have PAN card of India as National ID card and I have Emirates ID card for UAE. Which one should I submit in National ID category PAN or Emirates ID ??

Ideally national I'd is AADHAR card

Pan card is taxation number

But if it is not compulsory then leave it...keep blank there..

Hi Tulika, that the good spirit! :) Please do remember that as per senior QSW applicants, if you do not submit your French results then you will be called for an interview at CHC. And that is something which is better to avoid unless you are really polish your French oral communication by the time you get a call.

Hi Vats,

looks like in last 1 week processing speeds have picked up...looks like strike is over....any thoughts....even caps are being updated frequently on a weekly basis looks like..wat do you say.

Hi Vats,

I work as a Civil Structural Inspector. Do you think this could fall under the 2131?

i had checked the list of duties. I would say nearly 2/3 rd of it is the same as my description, but simultaneously I had checked the process through inspectors 2264, which is almost the same.
Looking forward to your comment
