Hello everyone,
I have a question and hoping someone will have a quick answer. I applied for fsw with job offer two weeks ago but I received an email of ineligibility from CIO Sydney since I did not have a job description for my main part of experience. In this case will they return the application package? I was hoping I can use some of the documents eg pcc and ielts to reapply. Please let me know.

Did you consulted a lawyer or experienced consultant before submitting the application package. ? It is very novice job if you have not completed the application and submitted it in a rush. Anyways you wont get the application package back. you should have xerox copy of your IELTS and you can get a original copy from institute who conducted it.

hi friends i got immigrant visa finally.now i want to know how can I get landed immigrant paper.where should I apply for tht?

What the hell is landed immigrant paper ....?
If you have issued a PR VISA it is stamped in your passport and it has COPR attached with it which you need to submit to immigration officer at port of entry.

I think your question is not clear.

Anyways, Congratulations for your PR

It is wise to have your passorts and COPR brought inside canada through someone known carrying it while travelling to canada. Usually people issue a authority letter so that in case if they found carrying multiple passport they can explain that they have authority letter from passport owner. Whereas when I got and send my passport no body was questioned at immigration scanning and the person kept them in their purse to avoid any problem and confusion.

Secondly, for landing procedures once you receive your passports with COPR you can go to any port i.e border or any international airport and get your landing procedures done. Normally it takes just 10-15 minutes they will look at your passport and COPR fill information in their computers ask you for funds you can show them your bank statement and then you will be all set to go and get your SIN and HealthCard updated at any service canada centers.

I do not know how long I have to wait for the medicals now.

I added my wife to my application last month. I hope that this does not delay the processing by several months

Hey Guys.
Congrats for the one who got his PR:) and good luck for the one who is waiting for it.
I have a question how come some of you who applied in 2012 got the PR but the one who apply for it in 2010 or 2011 still not even have their medical request sent!?? I was carious is it that the applicant who file on 20112 will be treated priority than the one for 2010 and 2011?
here the link in other forum where they stating they didnt even have the medical exam request sent!

You guessed it right! as there was change in rules in 2010-2011, so those who applied in new rules got preferred and fast processing. (avg 8-12months) and those who applied before that are still waiting.

CIC says the processing time of FSW applications for Ottawa is 15 months. For Arranged Employment cases (FSW2), it should not be more than a year.

I filed my application a year ago (May 2012) in FSW2 category (job offer with +ve LMO) and it is almost a year that I have not received any medical request. It may be due to I got Single to married during the application processing stage and recently added my spouse to the application (in March 2013).

How much delay that I can expect? Will I get the PR by end of the year?

Minimum six months from the date of change on your status over your application.

you can't trust the 15 months thing they put on cic website, especially Ottawa, since it's also processing cases that used to be taken care of by buffalo office
