Where from did you pull out number of 702? I can see only 217 applications from the link you've provided.

You have to look closely please and play around the spreadsheet very well.

I was wondering Though we have 50 eligible occupations under which we can apply for FSW but over all cap is just 25500 whereas as per the 1000 CAP each category it should be 50000 where rest of the 25000 applications will go? out of 25500 500 is for Phd.?

Please advise as this calculation only reduce the tally to 500 each occupation. ??? ??? ??? ??? worried..

1000 is maximum per NOC, 25000 is the overall CAP.

So lets say applications under NOC 3111 is only 8, and the overall applications from all the FSW categories adds upto 25K, then they will no more accept any new application even for NOC 3111. (Because overall CAP has been reached)
