I applied for CEC PR with old medicals (2018). Here is my status

1. AoR September 25 2021
2. UCI and my Biometric updated on 2nd of Nov.
3. NO Biometric Letter for my wife! People usually get it after 30-35 days of AoR.

What could be happening?

@legalfalcon any idea please? HELP!

Anyone HELP!

If an individual has provided biometrics in the last 10 years, they no longer have to give the biometrics again.

Thank you for your response @legalfalcon !

My wife has not provided biometrics ever. I was waiting for her BIL but it has not come till now. That worries me. Does it means my application is stuck somewhere?

It is not stuck, just that no one has initiated the process. Send a webform. Also, biometrics can be collected anytime during the processing.

Thank you so much for the answer. I always thought that biometrics are a must before my Background check can even start. Thats why I was worried that this will delay my application.

@legalfalcon Thanks a lot for your answers... Based on what you have told me and my current status, where do you think my application is at? As in stage of processing?

My current status :

1. UCI updated (both me and my wife)
2. My Biometric info updated (from 2020 biometrics)
3. My wife has NOT received BIL. Her Biometric shows as empty.
4. I have not got MEP. I have used old medicals from 2018.

A. Is it fair to say that I have crossed R10 stage?

B. If BIL takes more time, does it block any progress on my application? Like does it block BGC (info sharing / criminality / security) OR does it block eligibility OR does it block admissiblity?

I am really really thankful for your help and insights. Any way I can do anything for you? This PR process has been really really taxing on my mind.

Hi @legalfalcon !

I was just wondering, if my wife's BIL has not arrived, does it mean that VO has found some issue in my application and has stopped processing it?

In your experience what have you seen?

Thanks!

There is no points speculating.

Most applications cross R10 within the first 45 days. Another indicator is that if your meds are passed, then so is your R10.

For everything else, rely on GCMS notes. See https://bit.ly/3kkEZ2U

My AOR is July 28th and received my Biometrics request on Oct 4th. That's more than 2 months of waiting. No need to worry
