from US to Canada

I will go to USA for around 2 months soon to see some friends and immediate family with tourist visa(I am not us or can PR or citizen). I did the same thing last year stayed for 2 weeks. Then I will fly Toronto and enter Canada for first time with student visa for starting semester in January (I am exempt from border restrictions).

Going to US then entering Canada from US, would that be an issue do you think?

I have got W1 work visa (LMIA Work Visa) and I am currently in US , if I go from US to Canada through Land border what are documents required apart from Employer related documents.

Any other documents will be required through Land Border
