Hello, i just came here in Canada last year under LMIA caregiver program. But am an RN in my country. I want to be a nurse here too and i know it takes time so i already have my papers assessed in NNAS both RPN and RN. I got “somewhat comparable” report on RPN, and “not comparable” on RN. So i applied to CNO as an RPN. Am i doing the right choice applying for RPN? Or do i also have to apply for RN? I do really want to be RN here but it seems blurry bec of the report from NNAS. Pls advice

Thank you for the reply. Is there an expiration or validity for my nnas if i will not yet apply for RN as of the moment? For i still got limited income and i’m planning to apply RN after i have passed the RPN.

I think they hold all your documents for four years, but double check with them. I applied for rpn and Rn a year or so apart and their were some forms they updated so I had to go back to my school and employer. So I recommend at least doing them some months apart because the Rn is a lot more important than the rpn.
